  1. I don't see how this is remotely feasible. First, Kane's got an NTC, the chances he waives to Edmonton are small to begin with. Secondly, Edmonton's got cap issues. Third, Edmonton has no blue chip prospects to even offer Chicago. NYI makes much more sense.
  2. If there's anything I got from that graph it's that Boeser appears to drag down all of his lines.
  3. Based on current roster since I don't want to speculate based on potential trades: Pearson Miller Boeser Garland Pettersson Mikheyev Podkolzin Horvat Kuzmenko Hoglander Lazar Dickenson Joshua, Lockwood Hughes Schenn OEL Myers Dermott Poolman Rathbone Burroughs Demko Macintyre
  4. I'm not a fan of Benning but I think people forget how he sounded like when he first joined our team: I didn't think he was as bad with pressers until further into his tenure. This is not to say that Allvin will have similar problems just that its best not to judge just based on their demeanour in pressers.
  5. Unpopular opinion: OEL is as good or better than Hughes on the PP1. Hughes is better on the PK than OEL.

JR is certainly taking a risk by waiting until trade deadline. What if he gets injured or plays awfully?
  7. I don't get why we signed his RFA contract him if we were just going to trade him for scraps. I would think its more of a burden to give up a contract slot than the slight chance we might get a 7th rounder or something like that.
  8. I'm not sure there's anything being said there (outside of their example) that is saying anything different than what either of us proposed. Then again, my experience is even less useful in criminal and immigration law.
  9. Agree to disagree then. It seems pretty clear based on past situations with Patrik Berglund, Dadanov, and the fact that many players with NTCs get shocked when they are traded (Fleury, Huberdeau) that it's more of a standard clause in the contract. There is a deadline for when they have to submit the list every year, they don't need to be formally requested. Even if it wasn't, it would be extremely negligent of a GM to not maximize potential trade options by forgetting to ask what was owed to the team.
  10. That 6th goal still gives me goosebumps after all these years. It was Sedinery at its finest..
  11. If he doesn't submit one, then the NTC list is void. This happened to a player in St Louis who got traded to Buffalo.
  12. Hard to win a "he said she said" case if no one hears what he said.
  13. I mean I'd say one big difference from Mikheyev is Nino doesn't PK.
  14. Perhaps we have different perceptions of Severson but he is a very good defensive dman. I'm not sure why being a puck mover is mutually exclusive from being good in their own zone. Tanev was very much both when he was on this team. As far as the UFA status next year, so is Miller.
  15. Looks like Severson would be on the block now. Miller for Severson+ makes too much sense.
  16. I just don't see it. He's a good defenseman but the wrong type of one we need. Also he's way too expensive.
  17. Highmore and Lamikko were our better 4th liners for 5 on 5 compared to a lot of what we've had in the past. The problem is I'd rather give that time to our top 6 and use our 3rd-4th liners for PK duty which neither player excelled at (granted Lamikko got better as the season went on).
  18. I'm not going to pretend I've ever watched him play but his numbers look a lot like Lucas Raymond's.
  19. I'm a little confused why he's going to the USHL and not the NCAA?
  20. I remember these exact arguments to justify the return for Artemi Panarin when he got traded from Chicago.
  21. If there is anything I've gotten out of watching this series it's that the Canucks have a long way to go to be able to play at this level.
