    Quinn Hughes has the potential to be the best defenseman in Canucks history. This kid is unreal. I cant believe he is a rookie playing like this.

    As he should. Markstrom has earned it . Worked his ass off to get to where he is ( not saying you disagree). Looks like Markstrom can be a legit #1 for us . Regardless of the struggles he may or may not have in the future, we now know he has it in him to be consistent. I would lock him up to a 4 year deal, trade Demmer and keep dipietro.

    He is the captain and top pairing D man on his team in the second best hockey league in the world .

    Yes , and his KHL season may end on time for him to join the Canucks this season. That is where some of the speculation has come from.

    It's not an opinion, its fact. Tryamkin already stated he will not play for Utica a long time ago.

    Yeah I have always liked Tanev when he is in the lineup ( much like Salo). I did not expect him to look as good as he has with Hughes. Kind of the perfect match for Hughes so far, and he has actually looked better offensively then he has his entire career ( Hughes no doubt helps with that).

    Well , demanding top minutes as a rookie is not going to help that's for sure .

    Yeah , and that's how he got into the regular lineup the first time, but he seemed to make it clear he wants to play a bigger role then a fill in player. I'm not saying he deserves that, but everyone keeps talking about his return and I dont really see how that is going to be feasible with the attitude he seemed to have when he was here .
