we're completely products of our tech, we've altered ourselves and the planet so much that the idea of turning something back is not possible. Even simple things like a light bulb drastically changed how we worked and structured our families.

no doubt it is. Can we even think about things anymore outside of a "GUI" lens? I'm not sure. It certainly takes effort. How many people type more than talk now?
