But yeah. That was one hell of a play by Makar. 

I think Hughes has the potential and ability to make plays like that as well. I think it’s just a matter of time with him. I still think that Makar is the slightly better player, but he’s more valuable because he’s a natural RHD. 

I definitely could see Hughes doing a play like this, though he's more inclined to pass it off than make the drive to the net Makar did.

Makar is probably the best offensive d-man in the NHL right now and his defense isn't horrible either.
