i don't believe media availability is optional during the playoffs

he has played in a first class manner

soldiering on when the team regularly stripped down the talent around him

and expected him to succeed anyway

and he did to historical levels

he regularly restructured his contracts

he took contract values way way below his market value to help the team

he made it up in endorsements etc

that was being threatened presently

he is owed by the franchise

i have no real problem with his position

and will have even less if he again wins the superbowl

Why do you hate him exactly? Cause he hurt his hand a little bit and showed up to media availability with nothing to say? 

"I'm just here so I won't get fined"

I'm no Pats fan, but what? 

You can show up with nothing to say and still be far less of a smug ass. Maybe my opinion has been negatively influenced by one of my aunts who maintained a similar attitude throughout my childhood (and still does), but I can't stand that type of person. I don't get annoyed by everyone other conceivable type of interview (happy, angry, bored, impatient, generic etc) but that stonewall offering up nothing type of interview is exactly what talking to my aunt is like. She'll poke and prod about you all she wants but if you ask in return, she'll give you NOTHING and like it.
