there is some reporting about unevenness in WHO reporting by certain countries is due to those countries shipping out tests for processing to other countries and so numbers come back in bulk and are not daily results but need to be included in totals ireland is a good example they shipped a batch of tests to germany for processing and those came back as 1 big number that happens sometimes within countries as well (regions send to a central lab)
