  1. 1st bold: Due to heavy losses during the Civil War, the NRA was created to primarily teach people to shoot more "scientifically" ie: accurately. It was to teach the Union army to defend themselves more efficiency. It had everything to do with the personal freedom - theirs and their families. 2nd bold: "Elections" are just a game founded on and ruled by Hegelian Dialectic processes. For the most part, the candidates are in cahoots with and/or useful dupes and puppets for those wielding the real swords of power. No one gets to "cling to power" without the support of their handlers. Guns in the hands of the common people, well that's a different story. The people with the guns are the real threat to their control. 3rd bold: If the powers that be marched in and attempted to confiscate all weapons at once, there would be such an uprising, civil war would ensue. So they do it through social engineering, peer pressure and education. Think frog in the water here- if you want to cook a frog, you don't throw it alive into a pot of boiling water as it will attempt to jump out. You slowly turn the heat up, little by little and it will stay in the pot and die. It was Hillary Clinton that once said..."you should NEVER let a good crisis go to waste". With each mass shooting, the powers that be go into overdrive to "educate" (:ie brainwash) the sheeple on why giving up their freedom, their security and their guns is a good thing. 4th bold: I 100% agree with you about the wealth and control of the elites. However, these "gun fans" can be right for all the wrong reasons and utilize poor methods to gain what is right.
  2. That sir is a red-herring. Lower gun crime statistics in those countries is due to a variety of issues. With the exception of Britain, establishment and access to good mental health programs, respect for authority, a good moral compass and other cultural differences all contribute to lower gun crime. Its not just the strict gun laws themselves. But the laws of other countries is really secondary. My point still stands..... Historically speaking, as a nation moves from personal liberty and freedom to totalitarianism (Soviet Russia, 1938 Germany, 1944 Eastern Block Countries, 1959 Cuba), one of the final steps is repressive or complete gun control.
  3. That's a false equivalency if there ever was one. Such an argument shows a basic misunderstanding of the nature of both the NRA and Antifa. The NRA as an organization wasn't birthed out of death and violence, but support for the individual freedom of peaceful, law-abiding citizens. Unlike Antifa, the socialist/communist para-military organization that was specifically created for the purpose of using fear, intimidation and violence to create anarchy and overthrow society. Antifa claims to be anti-fascist, yet they use the exact same tactics as fascists do in order to control those they subjugate and intimidate. The NRA's support for the 2nd amendment has nothing to do with some idiot shooting up a mall or theater. Its a false narrative and straw-man argument to suggest that the NRA is knowingly and willingly supporting and/or putting guns into the hands of mentally deranged individuals. Close loopholes in the law? That's a discussion they can have but 100% of law abiding individuals always obey the law. A good starting place would be to enforce the laws already on the books. We're all for keeping guns out of the hands of mentally deranged individuals, but infringing on the personal freedom and rights of millions and millions of law-abiding Americans who own guns because isn't away to do it. If the.01 of 1% that are mentally deranged decide to break the law, another law isn't going to prevent them from acts of violence and murder. Historically speaking, as a nation moves from personal liberty and freedom to totalitarianism (Soviet Russia, 1938 Germany, 1944 Eastern Block Countries, 1959 Cuba), one of the final steps is repressive or complete gun control - THAT sir, is something that is really amazing!
  4. And Democrat/Socialist billionaire George Soros and major players in the Democrat party fund and support the "ultra-violent leftist group" Antifa.... https://capitalresearch.org/article/origins-of-antifa/ Would rather support the NRA and have a gun to protect myself and my family than to be left defenseless against useful idiots - the leftists wanna-be thugs roaming the streets, whoring themselves out to do the dirty work of their political pimps.
  5. A big swing...and even bigger miss. With friends like this, the Democrats don't need enemies! They practically just handed 2020 to Trump. Stay tuned....Trump response at 11!
  6. Give it time and they'll find a way to blame Trump for their self-inflicted wounds and their inability to keep their own streets clean. Perhaps its time to label the SF political cartel a terrorist organization!
  7. The Occult and the black arts are inherent in the arcane. As for Rowling, she either studied the black arts of the Occult, sought out Occult advisors or she's just a useful dupe.
  8. Most (but not all) Greek Mythology has its foundation in the mystery religions of ancient Egypt and Babylon. The Greek God Hermes was known in ancient Egypt as the god of magic and medicine. It was believed Hermes learnt the "mysteries" of the universe and sought out people to reveal them to. Just google Hermes + Occult....
  9. 1st bolded....the issue at hand isn't unknown, its the objective, verifiable fact that HP promotes and teaches Witchcraft, Sorcery and other Occult doctrine so your point is moot. 2nd bolded.... your argument spawns from both an unknown and faulty premise that is arbitrarily stated as fact (that Jesus used "magik") so your argument short-circuits itself. There is no false dichotomy in what I said. Although a premise CAN truthfully assert various answers which can all be true, a premise can also truthfully assert one correct answer and all other false.
  10. Plato's story of the cave rings true in this position. The idea of a witches broom is used in Paganism and Wicca as a tool of magic to symbolize the "sweeping away" of negative energies, the rituals of pleasing the God and Goddess whereby land and person being granted powers of fertility. It's also believed that it can be used to prevent spells and negative energies from harming you. Its one of the strongest symbols in witchcraft. The concept of witches "flying" on broomsticks isn't meant to convey literal truth, but it does haves highly esoteric meanings and when its symbolic ritual is performed. Suffice to say, witches flying around on broom is a good enough cover-story to keep the profane away from the supposed truth.
  11. Yes, those names and actions have been around for millennia, long before Pottermania. The ideas presented in HP were NOT the creative imaginations of a 1997 author, but the dark sciences thousands of years old. As for your comment about the kids being pushed toward "white magik"....this is also true, but it also shows a complete misunderstanding of the arcane and mysteries of the Occult. There is no existential difference between white magic and black magic. Both supposedly attempt to harness the same occult power but for different reasons. The two are just two different sides of the same coin. That truth has also been around for millennia. Not knowing where that so-called "power" originated is part of the problem. Yes, story lines can be made from referencing Esoteric doctrine, but that charge in itself is a story line. If your statement is objectively true and the opposite is objectively false, then at least one of those story lines MUST be true. We're entitled to our own opinion, but not our own facts.
  12. Just a sampling of real black arts taught in the Harry Potter series; Harry and the other students in wizard school learn a new vocabulary, including words/names like "Azkaban", "Circe", "Draco", "Erised", "Hermes", and "Slytherin". All of which are names of real devils or demons conjured up in various forms of black magic/Satanism. These are not characters of fiction that Rowling just made up. In real witchcraft, high level witches believe that there are seven satanic princes and that the seventh has no name. In real coven meetings this seventh one is called "the nameless One". The character in Harry Potter known as Voldemort, according to the pronunciation guide says of him "he must not be named". The Potter books also teach; a) black magic - Book 2, pg 51-52, Book 3, pg 29, Book 4 pg 655 b) Sorcery - Book 1 pg 23, Book 2 pg 279, Book 3 pg 108, Book 4 pg 640 - 643 c) Altered states of consciousness - Book 1, pag 137, Book 3 pg 83-84, Book 4, 145 d) Use of Amulets - Book 1 pg 134, Book 2, 142, e) Astral Travel - Book 2 pg 48-49, Book 3 pg 287, Book 4 pg 73, f) Astral Projection - Book 2 pg 310, Book 3 pg 371, Book 4 pg 703 g) Astrology - Book 1 pg 257 h) Automatic handwriting - Book 2 pg 240 All of these are REAL occult practice, along with the incantations and spells. Rowling also uses the normal straw-man images society often attributes to witchcraft that is only meant to invalidate in the viewers mind the real power of Witchcraft and the occult. Such symbology is meant to be cryptic. Esoteric symbolism is always used to hide true intended meanings of these dark sciences from those they consider "unenlightened" or "profane". Rowling has also intricately woven into all her Potter books the occult sciences of Clairvoyance, Fortunetelling, Energy healing, Psychokinesis, Telekinesis, Invoking spirits, Scrying, Reincarnation, Neo-paganism etc. Whether witchcraft is real or not is secondary, the point is that the Potter books are teaching REAL OCCULT rituals that are practiced by real witches, sorcerers and occultists the world over. Brainwashing it is, harmless entertainment it is not....
  13. More people have been killed by Athiestic dictators in the last 300 years than those killed in the previous 2000yrs in the name of religion
  14. Although I'm not a Catholic, nor do I necessarily agree with some of their reasoning on this topic, but sometimes pragmatism creates the desired effect even though the process is flawed. As someone who knows all-to-well the dangers of the occult sciences, there IS actually witchcraft in the Harry Potter series of books. All one has to do is open a book on the subject. Witchcraft isn't about turning enemies into toads or warts into lizards. It's the attempt to manipulate and control unseen forces and laws of nature for personal gain (white magic) or evil intent (black magic). Most who argue against the existence of actual occult power always seem to use straw-man arguments, showing they have zero understanding of witchcraft or the black arts. I have no doubt what I'm about to say will in itself be misquoted and used as a straw-man, but what is more dumb, believing in the unseen world or arguing against one's own imaginary straw-man. People are free to have their own opinions, but not their own facts.
  15. Canucks turned down a trade with the NJ Devils that included Boeser and Pavel Zacha? I think Ecklund's promoting his own fake sports rumours.... " On Boeser... The Canucks may have turned down a deal with the Devils I am told..That deal would have included Pavel Zacha....I feel Boeser stays and signs...but offers continue to come in... " https://hockeybuzz.com/blog/Eklund/RFA-Update-Marner-Laine-Boeser-Zacha-Perlini-GardinerWeds-Buzz/1/101137
  16. two relics and a pylon are going to guarantee us a cup run? You must be talking about the seniors cup....
  17. Yes we're talking about the same BB. I believe you just made my case for me....goal #2 showed signs of that good play maker that we all hope BB develops into to. However, goals 1,3,4 and 5 were all wrist shots from open spots/ice which proves he has a great shot.
  18. Yes, I thought the same thing about Bo 2 years ago, but Bo proved his ability when we had little talent and the sun was setting on the Sedinery. Bo has proven himself, not just as a scorer, but a consistent play maker. Needless to say, we should hold BB to the same standard. BB has shown he can put the puck in the net, but is he a play maker that can change the tempo/course of a game all by himself? Haven't really seen it yet. Don't know if its because he's psychologically hampered by the back injury he suffered, but lets hope not. Was the success he experienced last year due more to the Petey factor than his ability to take his game to the next level? I don't know, but I agree we need time to make that evaluation. Suffice to say, I'd hold off on the "superstar" label for another year at least.
  19. I wasn't implying that BB isn't a very good player...but is he currently superstar caliber? He may turn out to be, but at the moment I don't think so. Goals alone don't make you a superstar. You need that break-out quality in your game, something he doesn't have at the moment. Sure, he's got a fantastic shot, but again he's not yet at the same level of Bo or Petey, he's still only a 1 1/2 -dimensional player.
  20. I tend to agree with you....I think he knows that last year, Petey made him look like a superstar!
  21. For a guy that's not aging particularly well, he has the stamina of a bull! Not only is he at the helm of this Canucks ship that in recent memory has looked more like the good ship lolipop than a potential Stanley cup contender, but he's flying all over just to attend jr games looking for prospects etc... Must be hell on the family life but guided or misguided, gotta love the guy's commitment level. The guy's a beast! Glad to have him back!
  22. Nice to see the band-wagoners over on HFBoards are all taking JB,s resigning in stride.....
