  1. Hi all, I thought this would be a good place for people to post potential trades in fantasy leagues and see what others say. I personally an in a keeper league and have an offer on the table of Tkachuk for Crosby. I currently have Crosby. Thoughts? Should I do it?
  2. I feel far more confident with Myers than with Garrison. When we signed Garrison, he had only 1 good season under his belt and that's when he was around 27-28 years old. Myers has been in the league a long time, with numerous (fairly) productive season's under his belt.
  3. I met Myers last Summer. Said I'd get him a beer if he comes to Vancouver. He shook my hand and said 'deal'. Now I gotta buy a rich guy a beer...
  4. I don't think they'll win it, although it's absolutely ridiculous that they get penalized for it. You shouldn't be penalized for doing something completely legal at the time the contract was signed. It makes absolutely no sense to me. Amazing how the NHL doesn't simply use common sense for this, there shouldn't even be a dispute.
  5. Why not trade them a low pick for him? Then qualify him. Don't have to have a bidding war at FA
  6. Ranked #284 by Future Considerations... No D-men yet hey?
  7. Ranked #74 by central Scouting. BPA
  8. Compared to Arvidsson. I don't mind that at all.
  9. I think we can all agree that a guy like Miller is EXACTLY what we need. But the price was absolutely too steep. Why throw in the 3rd if there's the 1st already? This guy is a Kesler-lite on a Kesler-like contract. Let him battle in the corners to feed Petey and Boeser on the top line. He should get 20 goals and 50+ points in the next 4 seasons. Benning is sending a message that we're on the verge of playoffs.
  10. The Miller trade is bad. But I think it sends a message to the Owners and the players: we are on the verge of being a playoff team. Perhaps it will lure some UFA's as well. It's a ballsy move, hopefully it pays off.
  11. Projected as a late 1st rounder. He has speed. A LW. He's Perfect.
  12. I like the Alternative. The "C" part of the rink is much more prominent
  13. His actions represent the league. Don't allow him back, period. Maybe he's changed his ways, and that's great if he did. But shouldn't be allowed back in the NHL.
  14. Why is it classless? He signed a contract with a NTC. The GM found him to be a respected and pivotal player that, if he was to be traded, he would be in charge of where he was to go. You can't blame him for taking advantage of terms that was agreed on between him and management. He was 30 and had a family, it's terrible to think that he shouldn't have a say in where he wanted to raise his kids. Give your head a shake.
  15. This is such a stupid comment. Point-per-game doesn't matter when you have the best 2-way player in the game. He was nominated several times for the Selke, which (in my opinion) really nominates the best all around hockey player in the league. He got it done on the defensive end for us AND still scored 41 goals. Without Kes, we don't win the President's trophy and we don't make the cup finals. Don't let him leaving cloud your judgment. This guy was a legend and one of the best to ever wear a Canuck jersey.
  16. Sharks don't deserve to be where they are at all. If they win the Cup, it'll be the least deserving win in NHL history
  17. Is a bigger need defensemen or left wingers? I feel like we have some good D-man joining us shortly: Hughes, Juolevi, Woo, (perhaps Tryamkin again) Go for a strong LW for Pettersson and Boeser plz.
  18. Tampa is going to want to keep that core and they need to lose cap for Point, Cirelli, and Pacquette. Not to mention 4 of their 7 D-men are UFA's. I could see us getting their 1st round pick if we took a Callahan or Miller (but you're right Cal Foote would be a GREAT pickup... perhaps grab his brother this draft as well?) Hutton + Granlund (not too expensive altogether) for Callahan, Foote/1st rounder Hutton and Granlund together is cheeper then Callahan. They gain a D-man, and a forward who is more capable then Callahan. Juolevi takes Hutton's spot.
