Oh my gosh I totally understand how you feel... I just realized in october I was allergic to shrimp... It was basically because I had stolen a few garlic shrimp from my boyfriend's plate and like within mins my lips were numb and swollen and boom asthma attack. I have never had issues with garlic or butter (other then tummy problems because of lactose) so I knew it had to be the shrimp.

I also have an issue with lactose- I tend to buy lactose free stuffs, or lactaid pills that helps but Ice cream I will pay for..
At the moment I am having more 'serious?' recations to shellfish and some kind of spice. My lips go numb, and I get rashes all over my face. I also get a tickly throat, and mild asthma like symptoms. Tightness in the chest, coughing, wheezing. I can breath but in a scary way.
