  1. Swedish players. Henrik and Daniel the gifts that keep on giving
  2. Was crying when I saw that. Can totally feel his pain. It’s so gut wrenching to see the man that raised you just fade away. It’s a pain like no other and my heart goes out to Brock and his family. stay strong
  3. Pearson is like a swiss army knife. You can play him anywhere in the lineup, he throws the body, is on the ice in the final minutes and he sticks up for teammates. Great value for just over 3 mil. 4 Goals in 17 playoff games same as BB.
  4. He has to stay healthy first, He's been on a 30 goal pace multiple times but never gets there. Hasn't even reached 70 games a season, I think that would be quite an accomplishment for him.
  5. I’m excited for Canucks hockey every year. If we do well that’s just a bonus. Been with this team through a lot of dark days but it never makes me any less excited. After the cup final in 94 and subsequent postseason losses It was heartbreaking seeing that team torn apart and dragged into the ground by he who must not be named. Although the team was losing i watched Naslund and Bertuzzi blossom into superstars and the beginning of the WCE. We’re seeing it again now witnessing the fall of the sedin era. Watching guys like Petey Hughes and Demko blossom. keep your head up good days are coming!
  6. Pull the trigger! I've always liked Fiala's play, I don't think I need to remind anyone how dangerous he was against us in 2020, kid can absolutely snipe it. I don't like giving up Hoglander but the Canucks get a huge upgrade on offence you could stick him with Chiasson/ Dickinson and he'll still produce.
  7. If the Stanley Cup is just a trophy to you then I can see where you're coming from. The Canucks winning the cup is not just a trophy to me. I don't think the Oilers or Hurricanes are foolish or desperate, they're willing to do what's necessary to win which is what I'd expect out of a GM. Also the Oilers will never win a cup when they depend so heavily on the PP.
  8. This is why I hate the Rangers, partly due to 94 but I hate how they get every free agent and college prospect. Then they go get Lafreniere and Kakko too on top of that. Hope they all bust and they never win another cup.
  9. Why does it matter what level of scum they are if they can play hockey? I don't know about you but I'm tired of waiting for a cup. Yeah Kane, Voynov and DeAngelo are all POS but if it helps the team win I'd be furious if the owner/GM didn't consider it just because they're scumbags. DeAngelo is doing just fine in Carolina and is leading their D in scoring. I'm sure nobody in Carolina cares about his past.
  10. Ok then what about Todd Bertuzzi's assualt on Moore, I'd still want him on the team and people in Vancouver love this guy.
  11. I want to see the team win a cup by any means necessary. I could care less who's on the team if they're winning especially when the player is the exact type of player we need. Patrick Kane won a cup and he beat up a cab driver, I would take Kane on my team any day and nobody in Chicago cares.
  12. Tampa won back to back cups and they've got the smallest top 6 in the NHL Kucherov Stamkos, Point, Palat, Killorn, Cirelli are all under 200lbs. We actually have decent size up front on our team. Chiasson, Horvat, BB, Miller, Pearson Podkolzin, and were even bigger last season with MacEwen, Beagle and Gadjovich . Even with that size we still seemed to lack toughness. It's less about size and more about team toughness IMO. These guys turn a blind eye whenever possible under Green. I keep bringing this up but BB was cross-checked in the back during a preseason game vs Ottawa and nobody did anything! I was furious It's a pre-season go punch the guy's face in!
  13. I'd cross that line any day. The guy can play hockey. It just depends if you want to win or build a team full of nice guys.
  14. Young people will never be able to afford a condo? Really? I think you underestimate how much money some young people have.
  15. There's no shortage of opportunity out there especially online. I grew up very poor myself my parents were working two jobs just to give me the opportunity to succeed. Dropped out of high school with no formal education but was able to buy a property after selling a business that I built with self taught skills. I blame our education system, it teaches everybody to be a good employee instead of teaching you how to build something that makes you money in your sleep. While it's expensive here in Vancouver, I wouldn't call anywhere else home and is worth every penny to live here. More desirable places to live are generally more expensive ( NY, LA Miami ) .
