    Very upset with this TD. Was hoping we could make moves.

     

    I am not going to blow my disappointment out of proportion like a bunch of peeps but...

     

    JB had better find a way down the road to make up for this significant loss otherwise this dog will start to bare it's teeth.

      I'm not very upset. I wish we could have made moves, but that's the nature of the beast. Vrbata didn't get an offer and apparently something happened behind the scenes to the Dallas deal.

       

      I wouldn't pin it all on JB.

      I am not. there are a lot of variables involved(Cap staying put or going down, NTC, Not as many buyers, etc), I know that, but he is at a some fault for not getting a single deal done.

       

      Just saying the next big thing he does can't be a loss. I have faith in his plan but what has happened today goes against his plan.

       

      He needs a win. We will see what he can do at draft and free agency. Hopefully it will rejuvenate my faith which, as of now, is hanging on by a thread.

       

      Until then I hope we draft top 10 or better yet win a top 3 lotto pick. If there are hockey gods...

    Ownership and management don't really care for asset management.

    I thought we were looking toward the future yet we are retaining assets than can help us in the long run by moving them while risking losing those assets for nothing.

    Idiotic if you ask me.

      I'm sure if there's anything that we can salvage from Vrbata's expiring contract, Benning would do it. It's probably because he's not an attractive enough of a piece to make a trade - even for a trade deadline acquisition. Teams want a player that is playing good. Vrbata hasn't played poorly, but he's done nothing to write home about.
