Hat to say it but this injury is a bit of a blessing for the Canucks. Quinn wasn't sat out and the Canucks don't need to worry about him for the expansion draft.
Jim should not be fired. He should hire an assistant GM who might be better at trade negotiations but he's done more good than bad so far. Plus just the aquisition of Pettersson alone buys him a couple of more years in my books.
After that hit in New York and some of the stuff he has had to go through on the ice, these past games, I am suprised he is still playing. Now with Guddy gone and Rousell, I really don't know who is there to back him up on the ice.
It's good to see Petrus doing well in Finland. I'm glad to see that he can get more minutes in games there. At the end of the day, it's what shows in training camp that really matters, I have a feeling he will end up in the NHL somehow,
I'm starting to think that Cull needs to be shown the door. He's failed on so many prospects in his first year that I'm not neccessarily sure he is the best person to develop players. It especially seems like he can't do too well with European players since now Palmu and Dahlen are gone.
Benning basically smacked Dahlen upside his head with this trade. "OK, so you want a trade cause you think you should be in the lineup, so lets trade you to a team that's so deep you'll have no chance of getting to the NHL"
Good for Guddy, I can actually see him playing better in Pittsburgh and he now has a chance for a cup. Pearson might actually look pretty good with Horvat.
You are expecting a kid that is not even in a professional league against the likes of Karlsson, Burns, Thornton, Pavelski and co during mid season when he doesn't know how his own team plays to not get lit up? Seriosly?
