I pretty much loved all the times I’ve seen Wilco live but this really exemplifies why I dig Tweedy

Once they brought on Nels, their live shows rocked so hard, though

Thanks for reminding me of one of my fave albums back then

Loved this band for a long time now....

And, hey, June, why'd you have to come
Why'd you have to come around so soon?
I wasn't ready for all this nature
The terrible green, green grass
And violent blooms of flowered dresses
And afternoons that make me sleepy

The entire Picture of Health album today....I used to think of my brother when he was in the throes of a very bad drug addiction when this song came on.

I am so proud of him and his recovery....15 years now. He's brilliant (again) and we've got him "back". He's an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter....once artist and very competitive softball pitcher (who was always in the news for no hitters in BC). Works super hard, has a really good woman/wife in his life (unlike the previous b who got him into the drugs in the first place, then tried to take him and my parents down).

Now I just smile and wave.

"Brothers in Arms" by Dire Straits. The song really hits home due to what

is going on in Ukraine.

That's always been one of my favourites of theirs...really moves me. Now when I listen to it, tears. It really does hit home, doesn't it?

I'm listening to the Every Picture Tells A Story album (Rod)...it really is a masterpiece. Haven't listened to it for ages.
