Italia2006
Other teams would offer a lot more than just Raymond. If they can get a higher draft pick or a top pairing d-man they would maybe move him
Kack Zassian
A lot more? What make Stewart worth so much? He's been benched more that Raymond was benched. Raymond offers speed and is a 20 goal scorer. It's not like Raymond is worth nothing. He has good value.
Italia2006
Its hard to argue that Raymonds upside > Stewarts upside. Both had off years indeed, but why does STL have interest in Raymond? They don't have a need for a player like Raymond, and even in their off years Stewart proved more effective.
da.moose
It would take more than Raymond but I would love it if the Canucks signed him.

Renelsisc
I would trade Raymond to ANYONE in a heartbeat. He's had his share of chances with the top line, the 2nd line, the 3rd line, and couldn't generate anything other than skating really fast. And to those that say he's defensively responsible, if you watch closely, he's actually not that reliable. We think he is, just because he's really fast and ends up catching up to the other guy. But if he WAS responsible, he shouldn't need to be catching up to guys in the first place. Right now, I would trade Raymond for anything and just get my losses and gamble on someone else. Raymond is a lost cause atleast in Vancouver, and so ANY new project would be a breath of fresh air. Stewart would be a welcoming addition given how small we always play when it's crunch time. Aladeen
I'd do this for sure, change could benefit both players. Just a matter of if the Blues would do this or not. My guess is - not.

Xbox
At least he's not like Sheldon Souray...telling his fellow NHLers in a pub what they can or can't drink, and telling other people that they can't drink the same as him because they are not worthy....lol he's a real piece of work. Aladeen
Would you add a 4th rounder to do the deal?
canadiangunner
Great idea. This would be a steal if Gillis could get it done. And for everyone that is saying its not a good idea they are just typical badnwagoners. Only remember the last three weeks, this guy if motivated could be a stud again. And if not even at his current level way greater then raymond.
Otis
Would take a lot more, but nice try. When he's on his game, like he was the past few playoff games, he was the Blues most effective forward. I imagine the Blues would want an upgrade on the left side D to give up Stewart's upside over one rough year.

Phil_314
what about Raymond's RFA plus 4th round pick Nikolai Kulemin's RFA rights bigger, stronger pass-first winger (interchangeable with Higgins) from the Leafs to play in the Top 6 Twins - Booth Higgins - Kes - Kulemin Burr - Pahlsson - Hansen solid Top

Italia2006
All we need to do is bring back Scott Mellanby(he is no longer with the Blues) and get him to work the Blues management to do this deal. This would be great for the Canucks amd give Kassian time to grow. All that we need to have happen is Stewart to lose his attitude.
Zoolander
I'd rather go after Perron or Oshie. Better playmakers and more offense. Or.......BOTH
