Zoolander
Personally, I'd love to have these guys on our team. With Tampa Bay being the most likely destination for Luongo IF he is traded, they'll probably want to send another big contract back our way to even it out. Here's what I'm proposing. To TB -Luongo To VAN -Lacavalier To STL -Kesler -Sauve -Booth To VAN -Perron -Oshie This shakes up our top 6 dramatically, giving us 2 very good 2-way wingers who can drive the net and score as well as a big, puck-distributing centre who's hard to knock off the puck. Maybe Booth being traded might be too soon, but it is hard to specify exactly what St.Louis needs. Kesler for me was obvious. His 2-way game would fit nicely in St.Louis while Booth can contribute offensively and Sauve can sweeten the deal giving them another depth d-men who has a promising future. Signings: Moen (3yrs@ 1.7m/yr) Gaustad (3yrs @ 3.2m/yr) Salo (1yr@ 1.6m) Give Tanev and Connauton a chance to step into a higher role on this team Line-up FORWARDS Daniel Sedin ($6.100m) / Henrik Sedin ($6.100m) / Alexandre Burrows ($2.000m) David Perron ($2.500m) / Vincent Lecavalier ($7.727m) / T.J. Oshie ($2.350m) Chris Higgins ($1.900m) / Jordan Schroeder ($1.025m) / Jannik Hansen ($1.350m) Travis Moen ($1.700m) / Paul Gaustad ($3.200m) / Maxim Lapierre ($1.000m) Manny Malhotra ($2.500m) / DEFENSEMEN Kevin Bieksa ($4.600m) / Dan Hamhuis ($4.500m) Alexander Edler ($3.250m) / Chris Tanev ($0.900m) Sami Salo ($1.600m) / Kevin Connauton ($0.900m) Andrew Alberts ($1.225m) / GOALTENDERS Cory Schneider ($4.000m) Eddie Lack ($0.945m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $61,372,273; BONUSES: $310,000 CAP SPACE (22-man roster): $2,927,
kesler'sselke
Eh... What will happen to our center when both Sedin and Lecavalier retired? We don't have a good prospect center in our system that is capable of playing as a first line center. I would say no to both deal.

kesler'sselke
I disagree... What happen if didn't win any cup due to bad luck or crappy play during the time lecavalier is here? How much longer do we have to wait for another cup contending team to appear. Quick fix is something that always, always get teams in trouble. c00kies
I actually like the idea of getting Lecavalier, gives us a big offensive threat on the 2nd line and on the 2nd PP unit. I don't think St.Louis would do that deal, and Kesler won't be traded.

Alex23Edler
why not keep kes and give Vincent Lecavalier to st louis then. Makes more sense if they took him instead. They probably wouldnt do that trade. They need a defensemen.
