JimLahey
Oblivion wasn't bad, 7.5/10 for me. Django unchained - 9/10 Bit cheesy but amazing movie It would have been a whole lot better without the unnecessary 30 minute long Quentin Tarantino gun fight. Thats part of what makes Tarantino movies so great, the over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek violence. His movies are all about fun.

Monty
Why would I be joking? I am a fan of Tarantino but I was not a fan of the last scene in Django Unchained. I have to agree, and totally forgot to put that in my review of Django. The whole last 30 minutes seemed incredibly out of place when compared to the rest of the movie, and it all started with Christoph Waltz's character. So I don't spoil it, but it all started with the last decision he made. Completely out of character for him to make that decision, based on how calculated and careful he was for the whole film. It's not that the gun fight was not entertaining, I just think that the film would have been infinitely better if it were handled differently.

Tarantino explained that. He said that the handshake was the final straw. He couldn't stand how evil he was, or how he had been beaten. Schultz was incredibly calculated and meticulous. He had the whole thing planned from the beginning. But he was extremely disconcerted by how vile Candie was. It had slowly built up inside him, and then on top of being beaten, having to shake Candie's hand made him snap. He decided he'd had enough and wanted to rid the world of Candie, damn the consequences. Its why he said "Sorry, I just couldn't resist." Right before he shot him. Canuckerbird
Iron Man 3 was released here in the Philippines on April 24th. I was very excited to watch this film but ended up being somewhat disappointed. RDJ was his usual awesome self, and I liked the chemistry he had with the kid, but the rest of the film seemed rather forced. Perhaps I'm guilty of expecting too much from a marvel superhero movie. c00kies
BananaMash and Gumballthechewy make a porno- 8/10 I was expecting it to be a spoof on Zack and Miri make a porno, not an actual porno. That said, I was pleasantly surprised. Would watch again. Edited April 27, 2013 by C00KIES

I know, it still was incredibly out of character and nearly ruined the entire plan. It also set the next 30 minutes to be an all out war, which again, was not in line with the rest of the film. Believe me, I enjoyed Django. I just feel as though Tarantino missed an opportunity to really create an even better film, had he thought of another way to end it, rather than go his typical, safe route. Monty
The Thing (1982) - 7/10 First time watching it. Definitely holds up to films today. Didn't know how it would end going in, expected something a little different, but still like it nonetheless. I'm always pumped when Wilfred Brimley pops up in something.
