McBackup
I still haven't seen a lot of the nominated movies yet, so I'll just include my thoughts for what I can vouch for. Wreck-It Ralph should hands down win Best Animated. Life of Pi deserves Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects. I could definitely see Argo winning Best Adapted Screenplay, but it wouldn't shock me if it didn't.
Down by the River
Haven't seen a number of the films, so my opinion is not really that informed, but I have a hard time imagining anyone outperforming Christoph Waltz.
:D
I know that the movie was bad, but I had secretly hoped MIchael Fassbender would sneak in for Prometheus
nucklehead
I've only seen Lincoln from that list. When I left the theate I said, this movie will get a lot of nomnations. It's deserving of many awards. I hear Argo is also a strong contender. For what ever reason I've never liked Ben Affleck so I likely won't see it. ronthecivil
What would be nice is to limit the amount of interest generated in people that play pretend for a living patting each other on the back to perhaps one night a year.

Apricot
Best Picture- Zero Dark Thirty/Lincoln. Lincoln will probably end up taking it. Best Actor- Daniel Day-Lewis. I wish somehow Bradley Cooper could take it though, he was fantastic Best Actor- Jessica Chastain(Already seen Zero Dark Thirty). I hope Jennifer Lawrence grabs it though. Best Supporting Actor- I'm going to go out of the box and say either Robert De-Niro or Phillip Seymour Hoffman Best Supporting Actress- Anne Hathaway. No way she doesn't win it. Best Director- Ang Lee. This is obvious. Best Adapted Screenplay- Silver Linings Playbook Best Original Screenplay-Django. Best Animated Film- Wreck-It Ralph Best Visual Effects- Life of Pi Best Cinematography- Life of Pi Best Costume Design- Les Miserables Best Music(Original Score)- Mychael Danna for "Life of Pi" Best Music(Original Song) - "Suddenly" from Les Miserables
