"Bull" Horvat
TOPIC TYPO: *from DeKeyser's agent" Like posted on the "Title", this is purely my speculation but it is quite possible this young Oilers team in our division could very much be one of the front runners along with Detroit in the DeKeyser sweepstakes. The 6'3 defensive dmen out of Western Michigan is the top free agent in NCAA that many, many NHL team has been taking a look at in the past year or so. With Schultz being in the same situation last year (sorta), he must have had the same vibes as DeKeyser and they could both fully relate. Now .. looking at how happy Meehan is with JS's situation and how the Oilers have been living up to their promises, Don Meehan, the agent for DeKeyser must have a good partnership when it comes to signing his NCAA clients with the Oilers. DeKeyser could definitely be a more of a fit than being in Detroit, although he is a Michigan native playing in W. Michigan, he must be looking in the long run like Justin Schultz did. Dustin Nielson @nielson126016m As Bob McKenzie said on our show this morning Justin Schultz has apparently texted Dan DeKeyser to talk about Oilers experience. Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie24 Mar NHL teams will be full-court press trying to sign Western Michigan's DeKeyser. EDM owner Daryl Katz has already phoned the UFA defenceman. Stu Grimson @asgrimson2h DeKeyser Sweepstakes: TSN reports EDM, DET, ANA, STL and NSH are in the mix. DeKeyser's agent (Meehan) attended NSH v EDM morning skate. OilersNow @OilersNow23m Meehan says there is substantial interest in DeKeyser. Says teams base presentations on how he would fit in on roster. OilersNow @OilersNow26m Don Meehan says Oilers made positive and credible presentation to J. Schultz before signing last summer. Says Oil have lived up to promises. Forget the Stanley Cup, how many 1st overall picks does it take to get in the playoffs?

I'm gonna be given a HUGE rfa contract, despite the team accomplishing nothing and the games all being meaningless. Sign here if you want quick, unearned cash, yo." MoneypuckOverlord
Yea Justin, how is the Oilers experience. Really. Be honest now dude. Might as well talk about how great and beautiful and warm the city is. Really dude. Meehan is just driving up the value of his client. To behonest, Vancouver Canucks don't need a player like DeKeyser. Let the Oilers have him. don't care anymore.

MoneypuckOverlord
Yeah, I never thought of DeKeyser fitting in here even though he's played in BCHL I highly doubt he wants to be here either. Maybe Sustr would've been a nice addition, Taker isn't bad.

Tangelos
ugh if I was part of the Oilers organization I'd feel so dirty right now whoring out the way the way they do. I'd curl up in a ball and cry in a cold shower afterwards.

wizeman
Full on Canucks fan born and raised in BC, now living in Northern AB. Edmonton is a nicer city with friendlier people than Vancouver ever will be. The only thing bad about Edmonton is the long winters. People there actually have REAL passion about their team, engage in intelligent discussions about hockey and cheer like hell for their team. I would suggest that Canuck fans can insult other cities when their latte sipping, "high class", arrogant, band wagon jumpers stop trashing and burning their own city after a loss.
