Guest Dasein
Maybe because they still have Kuznetsov? And Ovechkin... And Backstrom... And Johansson...

Raffi Torres's Smirk
At least this happened at the deadline. If this happened prior to us getting Roy we probably would've had to give up more than KC.
erkayloomeh
WSH got ABSOLUTLY DESTROYED in this trade, HUGE win for the Nashville Predetors.
mrsasaki
There is so much wrong with this. Now Nashville has Weber, Josi, Blum, Smith, Forsberg, Aberg, Halischuk, Wilson, and Spaling. Not a bad future.
Lockhart
I wonder if Lu would have waived to go to WSH.
Van_City123
A clear win for nashville. What was Mcphee thinking there?
Peace Bond
Could Forsberg(+?) have fetched Thomas Vanek instead? Maybe I'm overvaluing Forsberg/undervaluing Vanek, but Erat is suuuch a mediocre return. McPhee's gone if the Caps miss.
SamiSalo
Erat has 2 goals in his last 20 playoff games, he was a ghost in the series vs. Canucks. Just a brutal move by GMGM, can't believe Forsberg was in play, who gives away a top prospect for Erat??
Drouin
Erat has never passed 25 goals in a season. Forsberg is a great prospect who has the potential. He's also younger.. What was the GM of the Caps thinking?

Alchemy Time
Forsberg is an A+ prospect. Washington got completely destroyed in this trade.
Lockhart
Won't matter. Caps are not sellers like we all expected. They are actually buyers, although crazy ones at that.
Jai604
What the frack was Washington thinking with this deal. Terrible trade. I was laughing so hard when I saw this trade. Washington got robbed so bad! And Nashville hasn't had much on the way of superstar forwards. If this guy turns into the player many expect him to be, Forsberg could be their new go-to guy for offense a few years from now. A buddy of mine is always smack-talking the canucks, and as luck would have it, he's a caps fan.... Fantastic.
Boudrias
Erat did not want to resign in Nashville as well. Poile was under pressure to move him and hits a home run. I wonder how far back Poile and MacPhee go?
