isn't it time that this supposed Hall of fame goaltender makes a dam save when the team folds in half

The fact is Luongo could very likely be the starter in Game 1. Under normal circumstances I would say win, lose, 5-2 or 7-2, what's the difference? Tonight though Luongo should have been on the bench to start the 3rd period. At the very least he should have been pulled after the 4-2 or 5-2 goals. It wasn't difficult to see this game was a write-off and that it was going to turn into a blowout. I'm not sure if AV was trying to send a message or not but either way he picked the wrong time to leave him in there.

As for Luongo leaving in 12 minutes I was not surprised given the look on his face they showed after the 6th or 7th goal. He was giving one hell of a glare towards that Vancouver bench. I don't think it's a big deal though. They can hash it out like men tomorrow or on the plane home. It'll get dealt with and be over long before the media is done talking about it.

To the 3 or 4 people in the world who are actually concerned about this game and Luongo:

The team completely collapsed around Luongo. He had the one puck handling miscue, but the rest were point-blank shots or rebounds where he made the first save and no one bothered to cover their man. He was hung out to dry plain and simple.

Why did they completely collapse? Because we were playing nothing but 4th and 3rd liners for the entire 3rd period (minus a couple Kesler and Roy shifts), and they could only hold the fort for so long before they were exposed by very skilled Oilers forwards.

In the playoffs will we be playing nothing but 3rd and 4th liners? No? Well then I guess there's no reason to take this result to heart :)

No, i'm suggesting goaltending wasn't the reason we lost that series so it wouldn't have mattered who was in net.

and if our offense is the same it will be the same agian this year no matter how well Schneider plays
