As Apples pointed out, Greene is a solid guy, as well. But Mitchell was the backbone of the Kings last year. Mitchell faced much stronger competition than Greene, was second on the Kings blueline in scoring, and led the team with a +20. Willie is a stud unequaled. Mitchell played 22 minutes a game to Greene's 16. The differences were even more pronounced in the playoffs. Mitchell played nearly 25 minutes a game in the playoffs - Greene's time slipped a bit. The difference between a clear top pairing guy and a 4/5 tweener. Greene would be more comparable to Scuderi, although Scuderi also drew much stronger matchups than Greene and played 20 minutes a night. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
