CDCGML 2013-14

With another trade filed with the league, Rangers GM Primal Optimist slumps back in his chair, not to rest, but to enjoy the brief moment of adding another piece to the Rorshack mask of a puzzle that is a CDCGML hockey team. Ever shifting, subtle patterns, not quite coming into focus before fading out to another picture, and each one piece short of perfect.

With Tim Kennedy waived 24 hours ago and sent down to the Connecticut Whale (assuming he cleared), presumably the new arrival will be filing those 4th line minutes, but most often the smaller the piece, the more important it is to the total picture.a "When you are talking about 23 professional athletes, and hockey players specifically, there are no small parts. There are specialists, who adapt their game to situations. Limited minutes, defensive responsibilities, assignments, and perhaps even Power Play time to augment the time on ice. For these utility players to function as well as they do, with sometimes 4 minutes a game to make the difference, is nothing short of amazing. Again we are all going to have to wait to see, as the league is still dotting the i's and crossing the T's."

Wow.

I don't think I've ever seen an organization disrespect a world class athlete quite like what the Canucks have done to Luongo.

I honestly feel terrible for the guy.

Is it not about wins though ? I understand Luongo is the starter, you'd think he should be given the start against Ottawa. But Lack has played very well and deserves that start. Does Lack at this time not give the Canucks a better chance to win ?

Is it about wins at this point though? For a team that knows it won't win a cup this year, how important is this game really?

This wouldn't be a sentimental start like we saw in New Jersey when Schneider obviously deserved the game and was the better goalie. Lou is still a top goalie in the league.

I can't believe they did this to him. My biggest hope is Lou goes on somewhere and wins a cup with a big middle finger to the Canucks.
