Can it be done? Can Israel and Palestine finally co exist on an agreed upon border?

John Kerry thinks so

(CNN) - Secretary of State John Kerry has a formula for reanimating peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian territories, a source close to the talks said.

He has been working intensely with the Palestinian side to get them on board. Kerry arrived in Ramallah in the West Bank on Friday afternoon and began a meeting with President Mahmoud Abbas for the third time during his current trip to the Middle East.

Earlier Friday, in a meeting in Amman, Jordan, Kerry presented the plan to Palestinian chief peace negotiator Saeb Erakat in hopes that it will entice the Palestinians back to the negotiating table.

It may involve a breakthrough concession on the Israeli side, according to a news agency report. Kerry has kept the pan close to his vest so far.

If the Palestinians bite, that may change, and the secretary would publicly announce the plan, the Reuters news agency says.

An Israeli official quoted by Reuters said Israel agreed to a plan for peace talks based on pre-1967 borders and land swaps.

It would be in line with a decades-old United Nations resolution calling on Israel to release territories it gained during a war, a demand that Tel Aviv has historically fought.

But it would help create contiguous borders for a future Palestinian state that would coexist next to a Jewish state.

How about Israel gives up all of its land that it presently occupies since it's rightfully Palestinian land and the Western powers keep their hands out of the entire situation. That's what caused this mess in the first place after WW1 & 2. I'm not saying Israelites don't have the right to exist as a nation but if the USA wants it to happen so bad why don't they give them some of their land instead of bullying Palestine and stealing theirs.

Or how about this crazy notion. What's done is done so too bad. No nations are going back to old borders and there are plenty of people throughout history that have been displaced. Israel is already a well established and stable nation, so there's absolutely no reason to disturb that. Palestine is in no position to negotiate and should make due with what they have. The end.

I say Palestinians should just barge into Special Ed's house, toss him and his family out and take it over.

He'll be fine with it since what's done is done and there's no need to disturb the new residents.

Special Ed will be in no position to negotiate and he will just have to make do with what he has. The end.

Move All the Israeli's to Detroit city so they can have a land of their own and at the same time get rid of one US city that has been bleeding financially. The Jews already control all of the US media and US is always the biggest supporter of Israel, so why not move Israel to North America. That way, there wouldn't be any more Israel/Palestinian conflicts, US would be closer to its allies and Israel would have their own land and territory and could live in peace. Its a win-win-win scenario.
