RUPERTKBD
I think one of Eberle/Hall should make the team also. Hall is one of the best wingers in the game and Eberle is clutch. St Louis - Crosby - Stamkos Nash - Getzlaf - Perry Tavares-Toews-Eberle/Hall Couture - Bergeron - Giroux I said in an earlier post that I'd like to see Eberle there, but lately I find myself thinking that Matt Duchene has played his way onto the team... Light Bearer
With the team Canada's strength down the middle we should win going away. Crosby and Toews alone is enough to win it all. Throw Getz and Tavares into the mix and its lights out. Just give us the Gold now because its really just a formality

StraightFlush
Sucks for Jarome, but he doesn't really deserve it. Nice to see that Marchand was invited Defense looks pretty stacked.... on the right side Iggy made his choice last year, Pens over boooooooins. Now hes in Boston. Whaaaat? What does that say about the "leadership" in the Pens dressing room? Better yet, what does that say about the Bruins leadership, and why one of the best Canadian team leaders ever, is there? SofaKing
Kunitz - Crosby - Stamkos Tavares - Getzlaf - Perry Sharp - Toews - Giroux Benn - E.Staal - Sequin Lucic - Hall I think the forward lines will all have good chemistry/skill. The 1-2 lines are superb scoring threats with . 3rd line is full of smarts (200ft players) & still a big threat to score. And the 4th line is BIG & has 2 solid Captains on it & 2 stanley cup rings. All 4 of our centres have RINGS. Actually all 4 lines have at least 2 rings per line. With a one of a kind machine like Lucic there to be used & a speed ball sniper in Hall we are STACKED. Keith - Seabrook Weber - Doughty Subban - Pietrangelo Boumeester This D line-up is so evenly balanced.

Jaimito
Crawford is still injured, not sure he will be ready in time. Tough job picking the team, the talent is so deep. Stamkos will be the one to watch, a real gm breaker player. Similar to how Getzlaf was injured just prior to 2010 Olympics, but made it on last NHL gm prior to Olympics. hockeyfan87
I was watching the Canada/Czech Republic WJHC game the yesterday and Dreger had a segment where he presented his projected team Canada roster for the Sochi Olympics. Included on his team were Patrick Marleau (no Joe Thornton) and Marc Edward Vlasic (no Brent Seabrook or Dan Boyle). Here's my team Forwards Kunitz – Crosby – Stamkos Hall – Getzlaf – Perry Nash – Tavares – Giroux Duchene – Toews – Sharp Extra Forwards: Couture, St. Louis Defence Weber – Doughty Keith – Seabrook Pietrangelo – Bouwmeester Extra Defenceman: Subban Goaltenders Luongo Price Smith As you can probably guess I’m a big believer in chemistry between linemates otherwise Kunitz, Seabrook, Bouwmeester and perhaps even Sharp wouldn’t make the team. This tournament will be on the bigger ice surface, where Canada hasn’t fared well in at past Olympics, therefore I’ve opted to have players with more speed and creativity such as Hall and Duchene instead of the likes of Thornton, Staal or Lucic. Subban might be the best offensive defenceman Canada could put on the team but he still isn’t doing things the right way. He frequently takes stupid penalties or goes out of position to make a hit and given the other options Canada has available I don’t believe the reward is worth the risk. I think Luongo and Price are Canada’s two top options in goal but neither is head and shoulders above the other right now.

Peaches
I think it's safe to say Patrick Sharp will be in the team, based on well he's been playing lately + chemistry with Toews.
