Amish Rake Fighter
You guys remember how slow Seabrook was in 2010 ? He ended up playing around 5 minutes in the gold medal game because he couldn't keep up.

boxiebrown
I'd really like to see them take the 22 best skaters, and not worry so much about established chemistry. Great players will find a way to succeed together. Here's my list. Not worrying about lines, that stuff will change a dozen times in the tournament anyways: Crosby, Toews, Tavares, Stamkos, Bergeron, Duchene, Couture, Giroux, Staal, Nash, Sharp, Seguin, Getzlaf, Perry. Keith, Weber, Subban, Doughty, Pietrangelo, Hamhuis, Seabrook, Bouwmeester. Luongo, Price, Fleury.

Saskatchewan Canucks Fan
With ESPN (Burnside) being a fly on the wall for the Team USA meetings. I was interested to take a look at what Burnside and Lebrun had to say about Team Canada. They broke it down the same way the Burnside article talked about the US team (Locks, Looking Good, On the Bubble, and Outside Looking In). Here's Team Canada's power rankings according to Lebrun and Burnside: http://espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/10124844/nhl-sochi-hockey-power-rankings
Kruger
Couture considered a lock? I guess all that embellishing will help them draw penalties I guess its between Vlasic and Hamhuis for the final LD spot and Subban and Boyle for the 7th Dman which I think will be use as a PP specialist. R3aL
Stamkos-Crosby-St.Louis Tavares-Getzlaf-Perry Richards-Toews-Nash Giroux-E. Stall-Duchene Kunitz- if Stamkos isn't ok to play sharp, Benn, couture, seguin, hall, Bergeron Subban-weber Doughty-pietrangelo Seabrook-Keith My favorite line in 2010 was Richards toews and Nash, I do think Richards toews sharp would be a strong line. And Kunitz will prolly make the team over St. Louis due to chemistry, I think it's a travesty St. Louis didn't play on the Olympic team in 2010 and I would have started him over most if the team. TheAce
I dont think stamkos should be picked even if he is cleared to play. He has missed way too much playing time leading up to the tourny and his stamina/strength will be too low for what he would need to bring to the team. You cant have him playing on the 3rd/4th line because that isnt a role suited for him, but i dont think he would be ready for top line minutes after missing 3 months of hockey. At this point a 100% healthy Kunitz/Giroux would be more effective than a 75% Stamkos
Dr. Hockey
Joe Thornton is leading the league in assists, and fourth overall in points. No one (not just CDC) is talking about him making the team. Because I'm a Canucks fan I'm not a fan of Jumbo-Joe, but he is sic! Especially as a playmaker. Stamkos, Sharp and Thornton would be a great line.
