Police Kills Armed 14 Yr. Old Boy in New York City

The police officer is obviously a bad shot to hit him in the jaw. He was obviously aiming for his torso, right? Right?

Comparing this event to the recent one in TO or to Trayvon are off base. Neither bear a resemblance to the case.

/ Question, how does one properly pronounce Shaaliver? Does it rhyme with MacGuyver?

Fun fact - a gun can also do that. Shoot him in the leg or arm and the gunman quickly loses his footing, making it easier for the eventual arrest.

Here's the problem - the key was shooting at civilians before the police arrived. What other choice was there?

Sure sounds like the kid had it coming.

You point a gun at the Police and don't drop it when they tell you too. What the hell would you expect to happen?

When I first read this I thought the gun was fake or something.. nope. If everything that's being said here is true this was justified as he was ACTIVELY TRYING TO KILL SOMEONE just before the police showed up.

14 is young, but not so young you don't know what you walk around with a loaded gun shooting at people.

You've obviously never been trained to use a gun in real life. You always shoot for the torso, the biggest target. Pistols are highly inaccurate, more so in a pressure cooker situation. Aiming for a limb increases the chances of a stray bullet, possibly hitting a bystander. A risk that can't be taken.
