Everybody Hates Raymond
Iain MacIntyre @imacVanSun1m No update on Luongo, but expect #Canucks to summon Joacim Eriksson before Sun vs CGY. NHL roster freeze does not apply to callups. I wouldn't mind them resting Luongo for an extra week and riding Lack for the time being. Gotta make sure Luo is 110% for the Olympics. canuckfan_21
Canucks probably aren't very concerned with his health for the olympics. If he can play, he will.
Zoolander
Canucks probably aren't very concerned with his health for the olympics. If he can play, he will. Why would they force Lu to play, when Lack is more than capable

Pears
Thank you But why risk any further injury when Lack can easily start 2 games?
Ugli Fruit
But why risk any further injury when Lack can easily start 2 games? If he is risking that, he is not able to play. Lack is good but Lu is the starter. This would be no different from Kesler or a Sedin coming back as soon as they are healthy.
RyanKeslord17
And you guys would know that the management thinks this how?
Phamda
Canucks have like 6 days of rest. Way too early for reporter to be speculating this move when there's been nothing said or seen.
Karlsson`s Flo
They might but with a week off and the fact that Lu didn't seem all that concerned when he left suggests to me that he will be fine. Maybe an extra couples because groins can tend to linger.
Chauncey
No need to panic yet but perhaps they need to either call up ericsson or make a trade for a back up. Looks like a serious long term injury based on CDC members analysis and inside info. This is the real deal.
SofaKing
If he is risking that, he is not able to play. Lack is good but Lu is the starter. This would be no different from Kesler or a Sedin coming back as soon as they are healthy. I think we've all learned that in this league it's performance based what have you done for me lately... Lu maybe our starter now just like he was a few years ago but if Lack is getting better results then I'm positive Lack will be playing a lot more than you may think. Just like with players Santo over Booth Higgins over Booth. Stanton over Weber & Alberts. Dalpe over Jensen, etc. If Lu wants to remain our #1 starter than Lu will earn that with his play not by some fan saying he is our #1 goalie when MAYBE our other goalie is playing better & his #'s are backing it up. Just Saying!!! Never know in this business...
Hairy Kneel
Loin injury is a concern esp with goalies a chance to stretch out his rest n rehab should be utilized n let Lack carry a small load of games. massage/ electroshock /aroma therapy or whatever goalies do. LostViking
The Canucks have had bad luck in the last while with players coming back from injuries too quickly. Given that, I'm guessing the management is re-evaluating their process with injured players. That said, Luongo didn't look all that hurt, probably a minor tweak that just needs 1-2 days of rest, so he'll likely be back for Sunday.
uber_pwnzor
But why risk any further injury when Lack can easily start 2 games? THEY DO NOT GIVE A FLYING F**K IF LUO PLAYS FOR TEAM CANADA OR NOT! THEIR ONLY CONCERN IS IF HE CAN PLAY FOR THE CANUCKS!!!!

Lenny Jones
He only needs to be around 90% to sit on the bench and watch Price play. You get out of here. Price has not earned a spot on the international team as starter.
