RUPERTKBD Posted February 19, 2014 Share Posted February 19, 2014 Yah the short track has really let the county down. Disgraceful You and I have a different idea of what "disgraceful" is. These guys train in relative obscurity for four years and then throw it out on the ice in a one-shot, winner take all competition. They have to contend with 4 or 5 other skaters, all vying for the same few inches of ice. It's small wonder that bad luck catches up to some of them. The results are disappointing. As a Canadian, I may feel a bit "let down" when athletes who are expected to medal, fail to do so. However, my level of disappointment is infinitesimal, when compared to that of the athlete in question. Win or lose, I'm proud of them all.
