Endurance and strength wears down quickly, and it is the third period. LA is simply a difficult team to outwork, and a team that makes you pay if you give them chances. Trying to push the play against the kings would be even worse. NY would gas out quicker and after that it is a done deal. They still have a chance in OT Don't buy it. The Rangers wore themselves out sitting back and trying to defend, getting stuck in their own zone and having to stay on because of icing calls. Not to mention the Rangers D-men continue to get pounded into the boards by the Kings forwards the more they are forced to go back in their own zone. Getting two or three shots in a period will almost guarantee a loss for the Rangers. Better to go down swinging then to fold like a cheap tent. I think the last elimination game to go to OT was Game 6 of the 2010 Final between the Blackhawks and Flyers. Patrick Kane scored on Michael Leighton.
