About damn time, Ehlers.

I wonder what pleasures @Monty more. His wife, or the Ehlers-Schiefele-Laine line. Holy smokes. Almost rivals *insert living body* - Crosby - *insert living body* in terms of talent.

I imagine it's the Scheifele line...for at least a few more weeks.

It has been a crazy week in Pittsburgh. Rumours were flying left and right that the Penguins were close to making a franchise altering trade, that would result in a top 10 NHL centre and a top line winger joining the team. Obviously, the deals did not pan out and there is still work to be done. Our sources say that GM Watermelons is still looking for ways to drop cap space in preparation for a big deal.

On the bright side, there is much to be optimistic about. The Penguins currently sit 2nd in the NHL behind the Chicago Blackhawks, who are led by none other than last year's GM of the Year @somethingvery. Fans and management believe the Penguins have more room for improvement. Out of our initial projected top six, only Miller, Killorn and Nash have lived up the expectations. Couture, Neal, and Dubinsky have been huge disappointments to over the first 10 ish games of the season. As have Tommy Wingels and Riley Nash. The two were supposed to solidify out bottom six, only to have been significantly outplayed by Matt Stajan. We would like to apologize for laughing at GM Watermelons for acquiring Stajan. It turns out that he has outscored both Wingel's and Riley Nash's production combined. Once they get better, the team will naturally improve.

Current MVPs: JT Miller, Alex Killorn, Alex Wennberg and Alec Martinez have had exceptional starts to the season. All four guys have had a highly productive start to the season and look to be a part of our core going forward. We'd also like to commend Rick Nash on having a strong bounce back season. The real life Rangers offence is firing on all cylinders and Nash and Miller are a big part of it.

Prospect Update: Our top prospects in Schmaltz, Barzal, and Theodore have struggled to find consistent ice time with their real life teams. However, management has quickly shot down rumours that they are being shopped. GM Watermelons is confident that they will be impact players one day. Also, with 7 goals in 8 AHL games, Anthony Mantha looks ready to take an NHL spot sooner, rather than later. Will he be able to challenge for the Calder next year and make a Patrik Laine-like impact? Or should GM Watermelons shop him to the highest bidder while his value is high?

TML was happy to welcome Michael Del Zotto back to the lineup for his 1st game of the season. The return of MDZ coincided with the highest points total of the year for the team and hopefully a turnaround for the season. Our depth has been tested early this year and the supporting cast is scoring at an unsustainably low rate, so we are still looking forward to moving up the standings and taking a run at the playoffs. It's not how you start it's how you finish.

Nice to see rookie Nick Lappin getting a shot with the Devils. He has notched 2 points in 4 games to kick off his career. He will be a helpful depth player for the LA Kings this season as they continue their quest for the division crown

You are most welcome ;)

I am so sad right now.

I wish you weren't, Cap'n. Stepping down from the team's helm just prior to it gaining the services of an on-the-brink talent like Stransky has got to be tough, but you can look forward to building a powerhouse Las Vegas team in a few months! :)
