Bruce Boudreau
With the recent trend of bridge contracts. Would it really not be better for the Canucks to burn off a year off Bo's deal so his bridge deal is cheaper? I mean long term wise it makes more of a difference and short term they give him a true extended look. Should be considered if by finally scoring he plays with more confidence and speed like he was tonight looking eager to prove he belongs to stay. ice orca
Looks like he wants to stay and really is forcing the Nucks hand. Played the most complete game by far tonight, you could see him getting better every shift after the goal. His faceoffs are starting to impress everybody, even some of the biggest critics of the team.
Tre Mac
It would be a waste to send him back to that toxic dressing room in London and play 2c on a team that'll disappoint just like last year. He's not going to suddenly put up 50goals and get a sixth gear like you all want to believe. Defensive and 2way centers can develope just fine playing 4th line minutes. We will be hit hard with injuries thru out the year, he will be needed.

Dekey Pete
Surprise surprise, one day it's send him back to junior he's not doing anything, then he has a great game and everyone changes their tune. Most young kids take a while to get their footing in the NHL, whether or not they go to the AHL first. Bo is a perfect fit for a fourth line role, playing low minutes while adjusting to being a professional hockey player. Does anyone have his faceoff stats from last night? Seemed like he dominated! Can't wait to see if Bo continues this trend against Chicago on Sunday.
Guest Dasein
Next game is against Chicago - I think Bo said somewhere that Toews is his idol (or favourite player) and that lining up for a faceoff with Toews would be a dream come true. I don't see Burrows missing the next game too (WD said Burr could have played with what he had but they just decided to heal him up instead), so it's going to be interesting who sits out. Then the game after that is vs New Jersey - I really hope he scores a goal in this one because.. well y'all know

aGENT
The Hammer, injury depending on severity, may just make a hard decision on Horvat an easy one if they need to pick up another D man. That almost assuredly means moving a bottom 9/middle 6 guy for d- depth (that we were already lacking in). Bo's play last night (especially if he can maintain something near that level his next couple games) just makes it more obvious. I also much preferred Vey on the 2nd line RW. I REALLY hope WD keeps him there and lets him form some chemistry. Also, I think Horvat going 64.3% in the dot (many against Kesler, one of the better FO guys in the league) should dispel any "can he win draws in the NHL" questions.
Langdon Algur
We're not giving Bo 10+ minutes just to evaluate him when he hasn't earned it. And I'm thinking DeFazio again and Jensen will be an injury call up for the top 9.After last night I would say he's now earned it.

His faceoff questions have gone away. WD will not keep Vey on the 2nd line - Burrows will return for Chicago. The injury was something Burr could have played through tonight but they decided to heal him up instead. Hammer's injury has zero implications for Bo's future. If we do trade a bottom 6 forward, we will call Jensen up. Even without a trade, we can roll Edler - Tanev, Sbisa - Bieksa, Stanton - Weber and call up Sanguinetti, Corrado or Tommernes. We needed D depth before Hammer being hurt now it's imperative IMO.
Guest Dasein
After last night I would say he's now earned it. Well the only issue is that he'll still be on the 4th line, so he'll get whatever the 4th line gets. The positive is that WD still had him out there in a 3-2 lead and a 3-3 tie vs ANA in the 3rd period, so he should at least be avoiding the 5-6 minutes per game that he's been getting. WD talked post-game about how Dorsett plays the least amount of minutes in comparison to what he actually deserves - that's because of our depth and unfortunately, the 4th line's minutes get limited. Might still be the same with Bo. He may well have earned 10+ minutes last night, but he might not necessarily get it. Jensen doesn't play 4C. That D-core is terrifying. We needed D depth before Hammer being hurt now it's imperative IMO. How do you suppose we'll be able to find a solution at the mere cost of a bottom 6 forward? Vey plays 4C. Jensen will replace the traded winger.

Vey is not a good 4C no matter how much you keep trying to cram him in there. Horvat's a better option in that role. *Bottom 9 forward and depending on the quality of the D you're getting back, you add to that. Jensen will be call up for injuries as he is now. That line gets 10+ minutes when Vey is on it. Horvat hardly gets that. Vey's offensive capabilities help that line get more zone time and as a result get trusted with more minutes. Also Dorsett, Vey and Hansen also play roles on special teams. There is no point in keeping Horvat if he isn't getting 10+ minutes a game like Vey does on that line. I never said we should get rid of Vey. Edited November 21, 2014 by J.R.

I saw Bo being trusted out there with key defensive zone faceoffs and he was given minutes towards the last part of the third period when the game was all tied up, This is much more important to his development, in my opinion, than him going back and lighting up the scoresheet in junior. Bo was drafted for his two-way abilities, the offense will come.
