Phones in movie theatres - yay or nay?

I think any public place you should not have your phone unless its shopping,but restaurants movies and so on you should put your phone away to respect others around you!!

I usually sit towards the front anyway. First 3 rows or so, so I don't get pissed off by all of the people in front of me. That said, I don't notice many phones because of it. 

 

I know silvercity has cell phone games before the movie, so that's dope. I tend to shut my phone off before the show starts, and so too should others.

I've been going to the theaters a lot recently with a good friend who is a movie fanatic.  Surprisingly I haven't seen anyone on their phones.  

 

I think chatting on your phone during a movie is a huge no-no.  Only happened once and a long time ago

I turn my sound off, the brightness to the dullest setting and cover my phone as much as possible when I have to check it. If anything important comes up I leave the theater and respond while in the lobby.

I see people driving and talking or texting on their phones everyday. If they don't respect your life enough to stay off it in a car it's not surprising when I see it at the theatre.

I play Pokemon go in the movie theatres.

Possibly the ones who don't consider it rude don't notice because they are busy checking their own phones at the same time.

I don't really care as long as it's on silent. People who bring their young kids and babies are way worse
