@Tigs @Spoderman

Would like to thank MB for the quick negotiations.

Burmistrov although the better producer, traded him for an older more experienced player in Hayes. Main reasoning for this was for contract control as Hayes has a fairly cheap contract for 2 years which holds significant value in the cap world, especially for a cap strapped team in the Stars. In retrospect, Burmistrov was on an expiring deal and we wouldn't be able to retain him anyways. Klein gives us a stable veteran 3rd pairing option who we'll experiment and rotate along with Merrill.

This will probably be it for the Stars this TDL. Content with the roster at hand, a little depth tweak deal, and the rest will be up to the players to do.

Islanders at the deadline:

Anders Lee  - John Tavares [C] - Josh Ho-Sang

Michael Dal Colle - Matthew Barzal - Oliver Bjorkstrand

Andrew Ladd [A] - Ryan Kesler - Ilya Kovalchuk

Sonny Milano - Kieffer Bellows - Zach Senyshyn

Nick Leddy - Travis Hamonic [A]

Calvin De Haan - Ryan Pulock

Thomas Hickey - Simon Despres

Henrik Lundqvist

Cam Ward

Glad to add Kovalchuk for the cup run, and Bjorkstrand and Milano for the future. Sad to see Strome go but Ho-Sang has out performed him as our #1RW, so we decided to go with a #2 RW option with more potential. Our young 2nd line has been deadly all year and now everyone on our 3rd line can step into a top 6 role if someone should falter down the stretch. Defensively, we have been set all year and don't need to make any changes. A contingency plan will need to be made in net; hopefully Lundqvist has a few more elite years in him.
