Relyt Krets
Forgot to do this a while back. But here is a mini Season review! The season went about as how we would expect it to go. Bottom of the pack. We felt we drafted strong in the entry draft, however it seems we may have gone for a bit of a stretch on some younger players. However we had a good year in which we traded out playoff talent and brought in some other good youth and lots of picks! William Nylander was a slight disappointment with him sitting out for half the season, and when he did come back he did not produce. However, we feel confident that he will come back next season better, without the distraction. Out core is set though, Filip Forsberg, Teuvo Teravainen, Kyle Connor, Nylander, and we will welcome a freshly drafted elite player to the team, giving us 5 solid up front, with a young D core led by Will Butcher, Cal Foote, Jusso Valimaki and company. Goaltending was a great surprise this season with Darcy Kuemper taking over the starters role and newly acquired Mackenzie Blackwood backing him up. We should also see Filip Gustavsson make the jump next season. However we will keep calling around to upgrade at the Goaltending spot to not put them in bad positions this early in their careers. Future looks good in CBJ. Very excited for what it could bring. With a strong draft, and some wheeling and dealing we could potentially get in to a wild card spot. We also have a near 30M in cap space this off season! May look to pull off something big! Relyt Krets
Forgot to share this once season ended. But the Waiver priority has been updated based on the standing (As was discussed we would do since it reflected the main draft) Those teams who have successfully made claims do not improve their spots. They stay at the back in the order of when they claimed. Reminder that once you submit a claim, if successful you drop to the bottom of the list. If unsuccessful then you do not change Waiver Priority List Spoiler Edited May 1, 2019 by Tylez

If unsuccessful then you do not change I am a fan of the suicide kings model, which this an example of. My only question is: when does the list update and how? Clearly this is the list for all of summer and into the next season...but when does the whole thing get updated and when does the teams who claimed a guy get "forgiven" and allowed to rejoin the rest of the teams at large according to rank? Asking as you seem to want a hybrid of standings based and suicide kings..which imo will be hard to do over time...OR am i misunderstanding and this shuffle was a one time deal to reflect standings and going forward this is it? Suicide King System: Once you are at or near top your a "king" and when you succeed in a claim you "suicide" to the bottom..and won't be at the top until all other 30 teams claim and thus fall below you..that is true suicide kings style... Standings Based Style: no matter how many claims you make, the worst team in the standings beats the higher team in the standings hybrid? but if you plan on a hybrid how will it work exactly? Sorry if being difficult...but I foresee possible problems with a new hybrid system and want to know its ground rules. Primal Optimist
On a more fun note; It is 30 to 14 at the half way mark in the series and tonight we might get to stack Micheal Ferland back on the attack with Jordan Staal as he is returning from injury sometime in the next few games... ...and we will need his return as McLuvin is on the ice for San Jose tonight, our current nemesis..Warren Foegele has had an impact so far in these playoffs..notching 28 pool points...by comparrison, our own Jordan Staal has put up 30....tonight will be a fight, and if we can outflank with Ferland, we may just come out on top. This was the plan to reset to the reverse standings after we went with the reverse draft standings. (It could have been argued to do this sooner, but 1st year league... Baby steps lol) This order will stay in effect until after the 1st month of the season (Nov 1.). Gives teams at the bottom of the standings this past season to make claims going in to next year atop the list if they choose to. From there it will rearrange once a month based on the reverse order of the standings. However at any point in the year if your team makes a successful claim, they drop to the bottom and will stay at the bottom until a full reset is done again. That way it levels the playing field and gives all teams a chance and will also really make teams think about who/when to make a claim. Also makes teams who are putting big contracts on waivers to think about it as if they go unclaimed it goes as buried cap. Hope that helps give you an idea. So hybrid/suicide king.

Relyt Krets
ANNOUNCEMENT After talking with some people, we are going to move the start date of the draft back so we don't walk on other leagues. We will start the draft as of 8AM Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. No time limits will be in place as of then, we may look to alter that date as well. Thanks all for understanding
