Claesson and Carey will have to fight for a Roster Spot while Rieder should be fixed for a 3rd line role or so. That leaves Desharnais , Franson and Cramarossa without NHL Contracts so far. Franson wasnt bad in the NHL last Season and he had a great time with Rockford playing the Calder Cup Finals in the AHL. Desharnais is rumoured that he will join a KHL Team. The 31-year-old Desharnais spent last season with the New York Rangers, finishing with six goals and 22 assists in 71 games. Desharnais spent the majority of his time in the NHL with the Habs, and had 87 goals and 195 assists in 524 career games. Two other players with NHL experience signed in the KHdL on Monday as well. Winger Iiro Pakarinen, who spent four seasons with the Oilers, signed with Magnitka. And Patrice Cormier, a former Winnipeg Jets centre, signed with Barys Astana.
