Case Study - NJ Devils Brand Update Concept - Ember Studio

New Jersey is proud to welcome Yaroslav Askarov to the New Jersey Devils! We were thoroughly impressed with Yaroslav in the interview process and knew we had to have him. Those discussions with Yaroslav kick started multiple trades that moved up to 28th OA, to 13th OA, and to eventually 8th OA.  We were prepared to move up to 6 to select him given the need within our franchise. Fortunately for us - we were able to get him at 8th OA.

Askarov will remain in SKA St. Petersburg for the foreseeable future. We hope that he continues to work on his craft and make his NHL debut in 2-3 seasons. Some prominent scouts have referred to him as the "Best goalie since Carey Price", we however don't wish to put that pressure on the young kid. We see a lot of poise and patience in his game. We know he will be returning to a fantastic franchise in St Petersburg and we look forward to watching his progression from a distance. We will remain in contact with Yaroslav and his agent moving forward.

Some around the league will say this was a bold pick. We definitely understand that sentiment given the talent that had fallen to us at 8th Overall. We however decided to standfast and go with the player we believe can be a franchise altering player. We appreciate all the teams who reached out and made some surprising good offers. We look forward to continuing trade conversations with those clubs and we wish them well in the remaining rounds of the draft.

Thank you @Nail @Monty and the rest of the FL crew for hosting this event!

Sincerely,

Lightning Captain Steven Stamkos to have surgery

Any day is a tough day when you trade away a superstar in the likes of Steven Stamkos. Since I took this team over he has been a staple of the core group from day one. As of the last few months though, Steven and Management agreed it was time to move on for a chance for him to win a cup with a contending team, as Tampa Bay looks to retool. We respected Stamkos' wishes, and we wish him all the best with the Presidents trophy winning Winnipeg Jets

We are thrilled to welcome Aaron, Rickard and Anze to the team. All players who play big roles. We feel this deal has bolstered our defense in a big way adding a top 4, and arguably a top paring young Dman in Aaron. Rakell is a guy who we have loved his game from day one and will fit great in to our top 6, as well as Anze who will bring leadership to the group.

With the above said however Anze Kopitar and Rickard Rakell could be had for the right price. As we look to retool and and get younger over the course of the next year.

Among other notable names on the block include Cam Fowler, Ryan McDonagh, Erik Johnson (Already 50% retained), Matt Benning, Richard Panik, Jesper Fast, Conor Garland

With the deal of Stamkos, Tampa Bay will have to name a new captain as well. This will come at a later date, closer to the season

Alright. Starting to get some idea of where my team might be headed, which isn't towards a title next year.

So, looking to move the following players for player(s) from specific teams. If you contact, preferably by discord as I'll respond far quicker, I'll let you know pretty quick if you have players (or prospects) from teams I'm looking for. Preferably not for 35+ year old has beens in return.

Rasmus Andersson (cheap, cheap, cheap contract)

Nazem Kadri

Lars Eller

Milan Lucic (actually a good contract going forward for what he brings in the playoffs)

Alec Martinez

Henri Jokiharju

Alex Barre-Boulet

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
