Here is the thing when you decide to be rude ignorant and attack me. I can do the exact same thing. I know in your far left liberal world. You and your antifa type think you should be able to do whatever you want with no repercussions. That's not how it works. You want to be a complete jerk. You'll get treated like one as well.

An eye for an eye makes everyone see better. That's how that goes right?

I'm not really sure what you are asking with your A or B options. Are both of those things not funded by our federal government at the moment. Also Please respond to what I said by your logic every country in the world is a socialist Nation, correct?

No.  not every nation is in fact a socialist democracy and there are in fact varying levels of it.  America vs canada vs France vs...Finland.

No, both of those things are not. We are speaking specifically of Alberta as you have made a concise statement I am seeking clarification on

I'm not really sure what you are showing me. I also noticed you didn't comment on all the debt the NDP added. And also why is the Alberta Heritage fund any concern of yours? Do you guys now want that money also? OMG, when is enough enough last time I checked we still fund the country the most. And get nothing back in return, so I'm not really sure why any money would be of any concern of yours.

The graphy is the Alberta Legacy fund..  Interesting to see your fund tanked under Alberta Conservative government in power leadership...

The graphy looks like Pamela Anderson's. cleavage back in the early  90s'...  I guess both hers and Albertas hertiage fund sagged around the same time.....

I asked if those things are funded by the feds? Are you saying no?

Don't the Americans pay for all those things also?

They are in fact funded by the feds, if I recall in fact we're still subsidizing oil and gas to the tune of $3 or $4 billion a year.  We also give lucrative benefit programs out to nonsense corps like Loblaws to buy fridges under the guise of "environmental upgrades" and more.

Americans in fact do spend tens of if not in to the hundred(s) of billions subsidizing corporations.  But...and here's the secret.  Don't call it socialism or corporate welfare and it's totally ok.

But we're Canada not America.

What am I supposed to do with that?   What is that link supposed to prove?

The source I posted and Hip posted had a net debt of $27.5 billion for 2018/19 and a projected net debt of $36.6 billion in 2019/2020.  If you actually dig through what you posted in the 2018/19 documents you will eventually find that $27.5 billion number.  If anything, you think the overall debt quoted proves your point,  but even that number isn't 40, 45, or 50.

At best I'm right, you're wrong..  At worst,  we are both wrong.  You're wrong either way.

When the NDP took over in 2015, Alberta’s debt totalled $11.9-billion. It currently sits at $45-billion and is forecast to hit $71-billion by 2019-20. As a percentage of the total economy, the current debt level isn’t outrageous – 13.8 per cent of GDP, the lowest in the country. The government has said it hopes to balance the books in 2023-24. But that remains an aspirational goal.

And here's a fun one.....

Quote

Alberta's debt soars to $45B, but budget has no big cuts, no new taxes

Despite being debt free in 2004, Alberta's debt is now forecast to hit $71.1 billion by 2019-20. Political critics say the governing New Democrats are spending recklessly. The NDP says it's all part of a plan, and it has promised to balance the budget by 2023/24.

But the Canadian Taxpayers' Federation, in fact, continues to run an online petition calling on the province to cut spending, stressing that it's not fair to "young Albertans who will inherit the province's ballooning debt."

So Kenney makes some needed tax cuts and that even hips CBC was calling for and now UPC is the devil.  Funny how times change.

But you are misunderstanding. I said, I do not support corporate welfare. However, I do support lowering corporate taxes. I feel Max had the right idea lower the corporate tax rate to maybe eight or 10% but no corporate welfare after that.

The budget must be a lie right because it was written by conservatives, LOL.

Didnt say it was a lie.  You just posted a link with no context as to what that link was supposed to prove.  If you go by net debt, me and Hip qouted actual numbers.  You threw up a bunch of numbers that were all wrong, but you thought that link proved you were right.  That's what up.

So we're pointing to different debt numbers that are actually in the budget documents net debt versus overall debt.  So how much of that $45 you trot out to defend Strome is the NDP'S debt.  This debt mess started by him pondering the thought that the NDP added $40 billion.   I pointed out the current net debt levels don't show this.  He then said the debt was $45 or $50 billion.  Your number is from 2018 and also shows current levels are no where near $45 or $50 in overall debt he said.  So it really doesn't prove anything.

Edit:  so the Fraser Institute  and RBC are also wrong the.  Because that is where I got the $36.6 billion number and that number also appears in the RBC link that Hip posted.

I think I said 40 billion in debt from the NDP. So the number is probably closer to 35 billion. So yeah, I might add it a little bit but I gave you the Alberta budget so that the context is clear. You don't have to use sources you can use the actual budget as your source.

@Ryan Strome never mentioned anything to do with net debt.  That’s something you mistakenly through in there yourself.

he clearly said “Was it the NDP that added 40 billion in debt?“

The link I posted

“When the NDP took over in 2015, Alberta’s debt totalled$11.9-billion. It currently sits at $45-billion“

Do the math. Might not be exactly 40 billion but as you pointed out those we 2018 numbers, debt had went up since that report. And even if it didn’t 33.1 billion isn’t chump change.

And 33.1 isn't 40 by any stretch.  So you proved the point that his post was hyperbole and not based in reality.  And at the time even I admitted that the debt was bad.

Edit:  And those numbers do come from the government.   That's why the Fraser Institute used them as well as RBC.

Yeah, I guess I did Roundup, but it's funny you use 33.1 so you are suggesting no debt was added from that time until into 2019. That is very interesting. I guess you're calling yourself a hypocrite and the proof is right in your posts.

I also and you quoted it said 35 billion, which is pretty much bang on. That's the problem with people like you is your lie and twist as much as possible.

I was using Forsbergs number, which is overall gross debt.  And the net debt accouts for borrowing for capital projects.  It is an actual number from reputable sources.  So no not a lie.  Even his numbers proved you were blowing smoke.  Eat it.

I clearly posted to you 35 billion. It's roughly 35 billion. So yeah, go eat it and in your case, it would be a part of Justin Trudeau.

The far Left was never good at baseball swing and a miss.

Math skills according to Strome.  33.1 is 35 and 35 is 40.  So I'm right,  the NDP added 40.

Edit:  not far left.   Never have and probably never will support the Greens or parties that actually occupy the far left.  You on the other hand, clearly occupy the far right.   You support/supported the crazy right wing party that got fewer votes than the far left crazy Greens.
