Today, the Dallas Stars acquired defenceman Darryl Sydor, forward Mike Peca, and prospect Colton Teubert from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for forward Matt Cooke, and goaltenders Johan Hedberg and Jean-Sebastian Aubin.  We are thrilled to bring Darryl back to the club.  We felt he had some unfinished business with the Dallas organization and getting him back to mentor our young guys and shore up our defence helps to fill a need.  Michael will also come in and help out our penalty kill.  He has been one of the game's better defensive forwards and should help relieve some of the load from our current penalty killers.  Adding Colton to our prospect pool is also a massive bonus for us.

With this in mind, we would like to assign Tom Wandell to Iowa.

Worcester goalies:

Taylor Dakers Worcester G 35 4 28 3 1126 131 3.98 0.884

Mike Nichol Worcester G 22 0 0 0 100 13 5.61 0.87

How has Nichol played 22 games with a 0-0-0 record? Dakers got pulled 22 times but Nichol never got the credit for a loss? Impressive.

The Phoenix Coyotes would like to thank Steven Reinprecht for his valuable services here in Phoenix.

A quality 2nd liner who will be dearly missed. Played all situations and gave it his all. We wish for him to get a better chance at the cup on his next team.

We hope to one day be reunited again.

Thank You Steven.
