Team MVP - Joni Pitkanen Best forward - Jeff Carter Best Rookie - Jaroslav Halak, behind a terrible team he did better that his counter past Robert Esche. Go Faulk Yourself Posted March 28, 2020 Share Posted March 28, 2020 Was a pretty as expected season for the Columbus Blue Jackets. Shipped off many veterans at the trade deadline in an effort to maximize our cap space and get our team younger, we've accomplished both and now look forward to the off-season. We have some intriguing prospects in our system and while none of them are franchise players we're sure most of them will be able to fill out some key roster spots next season, if not the season after. We also have the draft to look forward to with 7 picks and we'll look to try and snag some later round steals. Really not a lot on the current roster of this season to hand out any team awards other than Nikolai Zherdev, who led the team in scoring and was a +8 playing on the 2nd line with Malholtra and Chimera for the most part. Hell, we were even 7th in the east for a bit. The result was disappointing, especially after adding, but it's a young group.
