Have received a few offers on Adam Fox so far. Some laughable, some others also laughable, but cant say I wouldn't try it

If you want this you stud to build your team around it will take a massive overpayment. I will not trade him unless you make me do so with your offer. How bad do you want that franchise Dman to build around? 24 years old coming off of a Norris trophy... He is all yours for an arm, and a leg, and maybe another arm

San Jose was mulling over this move for some time to free up flexibility with their being close to the contract limit. Outside chance he could be claimed but I see him returning to Europe for another season or two then possibly coming over.

Contract release:

The  Seattle Kraken would like to release Denis Malgin from his contract, as he wishes to return to the Swiss league (signed a four-year with ZSC).

GML Nashville did a great job of leaving us nothing to pick in the expansion, so Malgin was the best of a bad lot. Kinda pricey for a tweener, so we aren’t upset to see him go. Nice to have an opening for the youngsters to shoot for in camp.

Funny how things work... I wasn’t too keen on Malgin, but was convinced Cooper Marody was the bottom pick of the draft... and Marody signed today... you never can outguess the puck gods.

New Jersey Devils Training Camp Report:

The New Jersey Devils have after a very busy offseason compiled the team's Training Camp roster for the upcoming season barring any further acquisitions prior to the 2021/22 season commencing.

After a disappointing early Playoff exit at the hands of @da.moose's Washington Capitals, the Devils spent a lot of the offseason building up our depth from the minors on up. Bringing in several skilled and quality individual youngsters into the organization we feel there will be much internal competition at Camp for this upcoming season as well as setting up our overall depth for years to come.

With over over a dozen players from last season needing new contracts we were busy working on new deals and assessing where we could or would need to make changes on the roster to ensure cap space and aim towards building draft capital in the process. Moving veterans Reilly Smith and Michal Kempny early on was a difficult decision but one that free'd up necessary cap as well as brought in a first and second round draft pick to the club.

At forward we feel we have just as solid a top nine as any other team in the League and will be looking to solidify the bottom part of the forward group which very likely comes out of Camp. With veteran Tyler Bozak close to ensuring where he will play next season we will be able to count on the veteran for another reliable season this year. The likes of Riley Damiani, Peyton Krebs, Conor Dewar, Valtteri Puustinen could make things interesting before Opening night roster submission in October. One forward we feel has a good opportunity to secure a spot is recently signed Maxim Mamin who could find himself on the Opening Night roster.

On defense, the team is thrilled to enter into the season with potentially John Carlson, Torey Krug, Vince Dunn, Jake Bean, Ryan Graves and Jan Rutta securing the backend with young dmen like Jack Ahcan, Benjamin Gleason and veterans Sami Vatanen and Jon Merrill coming into camp to push for roles on the big club.

Having Semyon Varlamov back as our starter gives us great confidence moving forward, having Jeremy Swayman waiting in the wings and fighting for starts will keep our goal very competitive this season. Logan Thompson out of the Vegas system gives us a netminder who could really push for time in New Jersey should injuries pop up, he otherwise will be our top stopper in Atlantic City refining his already good to go pro game. The team feels signing young netminder Eetu Makiniemi could be a real boon for the organization and thrilled to have secured his development with our club, we feel he could prove to be the top goaltending prospect out of the Canes system which is saying a lot ( or indicting my level of knowledge - fingers crossed ).

Overall the Devils feel we can remain in the conversation of " contender " this season with the moves and securing of our core players this off season, we are building some flexibility to bring in and utilize some youth to inject hopefully additional young core players in as we move along. The Devils look to continue our Playoff streak ( never missed the Playoffs since League inception ) and add more banner(s) and hardware by the end of the season!

The team remains invested in upgrading where we can so all trade talk is welcome, below is the team's Training Camp roster as it stands today:
