JR even said in the press conference that he knows alot that has not come out and that he was talking to guys that would have wanted to come here. Don't believe what all of the parasites say. We didn't draft him either, and he'd have the entire league at his choice. Look at the dysfunction at the organization right now. Does he want to come to an organization that's not settled, and has instability, even if he had the opportunity? It wouldn't be easy for him either, because I'd have to assume that Rutherford and Allvin would have to bring in competition for that defensive corps for next season. Livingstone plays the one position where we have a major need. I think he is smart enough to understand this. The organization may look dysfunctional to us fans based on the parasites in the media pushing their narrative, but I am sure that alot of actual hockey people don't feel the same way. For all of the talk of JR and how everyone wants him to get out of Vancouver, he is a hall of famer and does have alot of respect around the league. The Sakic talk was just that, talk. He built a new life with his family in Denver. He was never coming back to Vancouver. As for Kariya, he was never the same after he left Anaheim. I think he played for like 3 or 4 teams afterwards before he retired. So even if he had come here it wouldn't have made much of a difference really.
