Absolutely love what I’ve seen from the comments here That’s awesome! Happy birthday little one! I’ve got a 6 and a 4 year, and missed the game because I had solid beach day with both my little mermaids today I can’t wait to watch highlights on this one. So pumped for Klimovich! From what I’ve seen of him, another little thing that I really like about him is that he looks deceptively quick with his dekes and pivots too.
Popular Post Sharpshooter
We should have a thread for our little ones. So many good stories and so many new lil Nucks coming. I’m gonna start one. The kiddies are our future fans and should have our support and welcome! The Giants picked him up in a mid-season trade for very talented, but pouty player (James Malm). I liked Nieler right away because he played hard and played with a lot of enthusiasm. He ran around quite a bit at first, but settled into the structure in time. He's only 5'8", but a thick 200lbs and is an NHL skater. He's worth investing some time in. With his work ethic and big personality, he could work himself into the mix with the big club someday. He needs a strong year in Abby this season where a lot more is asked of him.
Popular Post JamesB
My take (which is pretty similar to other comments). 1. Really impressed with the Canuck young stars after two games. A lot of people were complaining that the Canucks might be weakest team out there, but they might be the best. 2. Goaltending is part of it. Ian Clarke obviously has a great eye for raw talent in goal and is able to transform that raw talent into polished talent pretty quickly.. 3. I said Klimovich may have been the best forward against Calgary. He was definitely the best forward today. Great shot, great passing, excellent physical game, and playing hard on the backcheck (his biggest weakness). He is an excellent prospect. 4. Aman and Bains continuing to look good. And same with Kudryavtsev. Getting him in the 7th round and Ty Young in the 5th looks like great drafting by the Canucks. 5. If Neilsen was 4 inches taller and 20 lbs heavier he would be headed for the NHL. As it is, he has a pretty tough road ahead to get past being a bottom 6 forward in the AHL. But he had a good game again today. 2 2 2

Apologies if I have.

Nucker 67
Might've been posed before, but: any chance Klimovich makes the Canucks this season? He would be cheap, he's got NHL size and it sounds like he's made strides this year.

Too good to be in the AHL, imo.

Don’t want to give him the DiPietro treatment like Benning did. Having him as the “just in case” kid would be a year wasted of his development. I want him playing with Nielsen and Wouters in a top 6 line this year. Even if they’re the 3rd line, as long as they get a lot of icetime. That’s what he needs. He looks like another great draft pick from our scouting. 1 4 1

He may get a few games later in the season, but let him develop some more... he is still very raw, and things take time... f'd JV uo big time by promoting him too early, so don't do the same mistake with Klim. Let him get lots of ice time and grow in confidence. 2 1 2

He’s ecstatic to get pointers from them before and after the games. Says it’s absolutely invaluable. He’s also a very down to Earth kid, and while he has high ambitions, he totally understands that he needs to work in AHL still. But he also promised to score the winning goal for the Canucks in the Stanley Cup Final, so, I’m going to hold him to that lol. 2
