Alflives
Pearson might have value at the 2024 TDL; that’s his UFA year. Myers is the same as Pearson. Poolman has no value, and is more likely a buy out if healthy. Hogs is not a guy that we should trade. Dermott is worth a mid rounder. Schenn we should keep, but (if traded) he’s worth a second and a third. So the best value of this bunch. How about trading Schenn for futures and then attaching those futures to dump all of Garland’s contract? Then use that Garland money to sign Kuz Missile? 3
Crabcakes
I'd rather keep Hoglander, Dermott and Schenn Myers is going nowhere until his $5M bonus is paid this summer. He shouldn't be moved until a replacement is found despite his uneven / inconsistent play 1 1

Devron
You can’t trade a player with head injuries lol
flickyoursedin
You could probably only trade Hoglander, Dermott and Schenn from that list. Every other player doesn’t get you a positive return. Those other guys if they could be traded they already would have been.

Rather have Hoglander then drafting a 3rd rounder? How many turn out to make the NHL? Hoglander is just 21 years old. I went to Abbotsford Canucks game..Hoglander was the fastest player in the game and was noticeable young man is just 21 years old. Swede line looked very good -#88 Aman- Karlsson #94 - #36 Hoglander best line in the game.. Aman looks very big... Podkolzin - played solid game, had PP goal with great shot.. Di Guisueppe - played well with Podkolzin Rathbone, Woo, looked okay - --- Juulson RD played decent defensive game bottom 6 players , Rau Nielsen, Wouters, Klimovich -played with energy.. Abby Canucks won 4-3 1

Tanner Pearson for a 3rd round pick? Not inconceivable if he comes back healthy and plays well. He's got a Stanley Cup ring and only one more year on his reasonable deal. Tucker Poolman for a 4th or 5th? Doubtful, too much health risk considering that he has two more years left after this one. He's our new (granted cheaper) Ferland. Myers for a 2nd? Yes, however we would have to retain 25% or so. Otherwise it's a weird and awkward trade to make... with who, a contender? An up and coming team that needs RHD? Hoggy for a 3rd? Yeah, but it doesn't make sense for us or for the acquiring team. Mostly for us...

IBatch
These are the guys other teams will want and in this order: 1. Horvat 2. Kuzmenko 3. Schenn Possible: If Pearson comes back, and plays just as well as he did last season (was on 3 of our four best lines), he's the final target. Myers is also a possibility, but the team has to retain. On Pearson as well, and on Horvat too if we want maximum value. The rest - not really worth talking about, the returns very meh. IF the team accepts a re-set is needed, start right away and tank. Probably already should have started. This team also needs playoffs reps. So in a precarious situation. Needs to pick a lane and stick to it. Keep trading picks but in a good way - a Lumme for a second sure would be nice. Or a Scheaffer (Hogs?) for a Salo. We can always dream, and it's hockey so nobodies trade proposals are without some merit, seen some weird trades over the years. JB's big splash for one. Didn't seem realistic at all at the time. Watching Guenther ... the BPA at 9 kick butt ... well yikes, too bad JB didn't just let all that cap shed naturally right!! Never too late to start. As for the 3 trades above. Would net us two firsts, a couple seconds, a 3rd or 4th AND a grade A prospect plus a roster player (meh cap dump back). Add 50% retention, Pearson and Myers a couple more seconds and or thirds. Best I can do with re-setting the rebuild. Plan to tank the rest of the season, and have a down year next year as well. That's how to rebuild. 2 extra firsts 4 extra seconds best case some later pick swaps. A ton of cap space. Which we can then weaponize to add another first and second. Accept a two year tank. Either that or trade our own picks to add players. Double down on the Miller - OEL cap shedding tactic's. Trade a first for a 25 year old solid RHD under contract for four years. Etc.
