cripplereh
Can't trade players on injury reserve which poolman is.
qwijibo
Why would Carolina accept Poolman? Also. What are the conditions on the 1st?
Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw
This is a more lopsided, broken version of the @Elias Pettersson proposal. It's like a bootleg because of the illegal Poolman.

Pears
I’ve said before and I’ll say again. Any Pesce trade starts with next years 1st, one of Höglander/Podkolzin and probably another prospect as well. Edited July 4, 2023 by Pears

Sophomore Jinx
A blockbust three-team deal involving Karlsson, Pesce and Myers (canucksdaily.com) TRADE PROPOSAL | Blockbuster three-team deal involving Erik Karlsson, Brett Pesce and Tyler Myers Published July 3, 2023 at 6:42 PM BY FELIP GOSSELINShare on Facebook Erik Karlsson is a name that's been heavily circulating in the league's most recent trade talks. The Swede recently had an outstanding season and was awarded the Norris Trophy as the league's top defenseman in 2022-2023. Brett Pesce, on the other hand, played a crucial part in the Hurricane's most recent success. However, his deal is nearing an end, and per the recent reports, if the two parties disagreed on an extension, the Hurricanes would be shopping him as soon as July 1st. Karlsson has made it crystal clear that he wishes to join a Cup Contender, and it appears that the race is down to the Hurricanes and the Penguins. The Canuckd, on their end, have poked around on Brett Pesce since he could very well be the defenseman the Canucks need to play alongside Quinn Hughes. A trade proposal has gained lots of traction on social media linking The Sharks, the Hurricanes and the Canucks in what could possibly be the biggest trade of the last 10 years. To Carolina Erik Karlsson (30% Salary Retention in San Jose)To VancouverBrett PesceTo San JoseTyler MyersConor GarlandJack Rathbone 2024 1st Round Selection Carolina 2024 2nd Round Selection Carolina 2025 1st Round Selection Vancouver The Canucks would shed Myers and Garland's contracts, ultimately paying a 1st Rounder and Jack Rathbone to acquire Brett Pesce. 28, Pesce is an RHD who's got size and decent skills. He's on the last season of a deal worth over $24M; the expectation is that his next deal could be somewhere in the $5.5M to $6M range. If the Canucks manage to extend Pesce, this could be a massive win for the team and would definitely switch their ‘retooling status' to playoff contender. A top 4 made of, Hughes-Pesce and Soucy-Hronek, combined with a healthy Thatcher Demko and the explosive offence we already have in Vancouver, the Canucks could aim to do a lot of damage. kloubek
If Carolina would accept this, I'd be all for it. Pesce would be perfect for Hughes. But given that Poolman clearly has negative value (even if he CAN be traded), it's like giving them a 2nd or worse for Pesce, and I'm almost certain Pear is right that it isn't enough, and they'd want a young good player from us as well, minimum. Carolina also already acquired wingers to round out their lineup, so I don't think they would be interested in any of our established wingers - which is the only asset we have that we could give up without serious detriment. (Either Garland or Beauvillier). I think in order to fit in Pesce with his new contract as suggested, we'd HAVE to move one of them, or move Myers. I would like to expand upon the idea of San Jose being part of a 3-way trade, where Lebanc was supposed to be part of it. Not sure if SJ has 2 retentions available, but here goes:) To San Jose: From Vancouver: Garland, Myers (with an agreement for Vancouver to pay out his bonus), Silvos, Jett Woo, 2024 2nd, and from Carolina, Ryan Suzuki. To Carolina: Karlsson (50% retained) To Vancouver: Pesce, Lebanc, Kahkonen (50% retained) Our new lineup: Kuz Petey Mik Beauvillier Miller Boeser Lebanc Blueger Podz PDG Joshua Hogz Aman Hughes Pesce Cole Hronek Hirose Soucy Wolanin Demko Kahkonen
