Citizen Erased
Does that mean he’s officially retired? Chicago could use some help on the blue line. 1
nuckin_futz
Well deserved, the guy literally played forever. Had no idea he played for the Canucks. Edited September 8 by nuckin_futz
IBatch
Chelios single handedly ruined our 94 follow up. At the time he was the best defenseman on the planet, which said a lot about his peak prime years. Forgave him for that. Those CHI teams were good, and at the time he was their greatest player. That's my biggest Chelios memory. Guy was a total warrior, you'd have to be a little nuts to drop the mitts with a guy like Tony Twist. Strawbone
I worked with a guy many years ago who lived in Montreal when Chelios played there. He said he'd occasionally see him out at bars late at night being a huge douchebag, getting drunk and trying to start fights. I can't verify any of that but that's what I was told! Compared to Stevens who just gave out nasty headshots (which was a legal hit back in the day). Both made even more effective by the intimidation their reputation brought (and well deserved rep because you had to always be aware as an opposing player when you were on the ice - but Stevens would lay you out within the rules of the game then).
