Blackhawks to retire Chris Chelios‘ No. 7

Chelios single handedly ruined our 94 follow up.   At the time he was the best defenseman on the planet, which said a lot about his peak prime years.     Forgave him for that.   Those CHI teams were good, and at the time he was their greatest player.    That's my biggest Chelios memory.    Guy was a total warrior, you'd have to be a little nuts to drop the mitts with a guy like Tony Twist.

A nasty really dirty player.  Compared to Stevens who just gave out nasty headshots (which was a legal hit back in the day).  Both made even more effective by the intimidation their reputation brought (and well deserved rep because you had to always be aware as an opposing player when you were on the ice - but Stevens would lay you out within the rules of the game then).
