my wife when she does make it its from scratch , when I do it I buy the frozen ready made pastry  pie shell  its just easier . I remember smack talkin mushrooms and you responded ,well I cant remember what you said ,but no GRAVY? there should be a law against that!

I am vegetarian, so I think I'll skip the meat pie. Looks good though! Maybe a treat I can make for bf someday. 

Some people eat it with ketchup, some with gravy, but it's my belief that a rich, juicy, flavourful tourtiere has no need for gravy. I openly admit I've never had it with, but a pie crust would turn to mush with all the extra sauce on the plate. Just give me a big side of baby kale lemon vinaigrette caeser with lots of garlic and anchovy and I'm set.
