Now replace Gilman with Bettman and Burr with Fehr, and that would be a good one too! Thank goodness Burr is locked up long term. I think he's one of the players that would take a 24 percent rollback on that piece of paper he's signing to play some damn hockey this year! The Geoff Courtnall comparison makes little sense. I've always thought the closest former Canucks comparison to Burrows is Martin Gelinas - similar style, only that Burrows has a higher 'hero' rating and more offensive touch. I think it is fair value. 1) He does benefit from the Sedins but I think that after so many years of consistency he should get some credit for improving their game 2) He is a heart and soul player who can change a game/season/series in an instant - plenty of examples 3) He has had success independent of the Sedin line that is almost worth the paycheque alone - Crazy chemistry with Kesler at times - Solid penalty killer - Statistically the best Shootout shooter on the team - Hall of famer (ball hockey) 4) He works hard at both ends of the ice and he can make smart plays As far as his playoffs go... with the exception of last year where nobody had a good playoffs Burrows has never been a minus player. 5) From all indications he is a great guy to have in the locker room Also, the man is a living highlight reel (if you haven't noticed).
