-AJ-
Chicago tried to do it. I know cap is one of the reasons but maybe they just wanted long term security. They had the cup anyway so maybe they're thinking the fans wouldn't mind losing stars after winning the Cup.
Hax
Phew, it took a while, but we finally found another clutch. Take solace in the fact that you immortalized yourself here, Mr. Reputable.
Dellins
I liked it better when you whined about there being threads for other teams in GENERAL hockey discussion.
BCNeil
The op makes 2 assumptions in his opening post. The Canucks winning the cup. The Sedins are in decline. I don't see how both can happen at once.
BCNeil
Look at timestamp of events. Not that hard to figure things out. BTW, you will be reported for calling a forum member a clown.
Dayman
The Sedins are and always will bw Canucks, but if a team were to offer a young player that could bring the franchise multiple cups over the next 15yrs, we'd be fools to be against it. Raoul Duke
If the Canucks win the Cup this year, I don't care who they trade in the offseason. Mainly because I'll be dead from the partying I would do after we win the Cup. Lotsa hookers, blow, and vodka.

Guest Gumballthechewy
Mr. Reputable, what you just asked is similar to asking Canuck fans back in 1994 if they'd be ok trading Linden if they won the Cup, or asking fans in 2001 if they'd be ok trading Naslund if they won the Cup, or even asking Flames fans if it would be cool to trade Iginla if they won the Cup, or asking Avalanche fans in 1996 if it would be ok to trade Sakic after they won the Cup. It's stupid to ask fans if it would be cool to trade away not only star players but fan favourites.
babych
I don't think I'd be happy with anything less than the Sedins finishing their careers here and having their jerseys raised to the rafters. I Stanley Cup would be nice too, of course.

SamJamIam
Mr Reputable is a troll and not a Canucks fan. This thread proves it.
Coconuts
Why is this even a topic? You don't repay the kind of loyalty and commitment the twins have given this team and province by shipping them out.
