poetica
The head cannot be the primary point of contact and I think it is pretty clear that this was a bad hit in that regards... he did get a piece of Clifford's shoulder but the main impact was the head. etsen3
Pretty reckless hit there, it didn't look that bad from the CBC point of view, but once I saw it on a better angle, it's pretty obvious that it was a reckless hit. In the regular season that would be 2-3 games, not sure about the playoffs since Shanahan says he think of each series as a mini season, so in effect one playoff game=12 regular season games. Though that ratio seems a bit ridiculous to me, so maybe 1 game?

DaMacNamedDre
Knowing what a joke the NHL is Clifford will be back next game gooning us and Bitz will be suspended for 27 games.

suolucidir
Bitz gets more than one game. That's my guess. Weber with the fine... lol.
Aixtek
On the bright side, if the Kings players keep turning their back every time the Nucks hit them, they won't have 20 healthy players at the end of this series.

SuperReverb2
$2500.00 fine for Weber???? What a JOKE!!!!! I guess intentionally grabbing somebody by the back of the head and slamming his face into the boards doesn't warrant a suspension these days? Pears
What a joke. Weber gets fined for bashing a guys face into the boards. I like Weber but that's just pathetic.

Ajax19
So.. Bitz is going to get suspended (which I have no problem with, definate headshot) yet Weber gets a $2500 fine which is pocket change for him.... WTF
TOMapleLaughs
The sad part of this being reviewed is that this hit is no worse than any of the hits in the playoffs that i've seen over the years. The league will likely try to make an example out of him, but really, it won't change a single thing. Cheers. TOML
Airjasper
A Bitz suspension would be a no brainer...But then again I thought the same about Weber...

Jeebus Loves You
I didn't think it was a bad hit, the head wasn't targetted, his head just went into the boards but if you watch the replay it wasn't even the first thing - his collar bone goes into the boards first. Bad hit from behind but the head was not targetted and he got a 5 minute major, so Shanahan won't give out a suspension. Please don't compare this to what Weber did - Weber didn't even "hit" Zetterberg, he tried to kill him. That is about as malicious a thing as someone can do on the ice short of taking a swing at someones head with a stick. Weber should be kicked out of the series, Bitz will be back for Game 2. NightHawkSniper
Don't worry guys, it's only going to be a fine... I mean, he is a superstar like Weber, right?
Lui's Knob
What a joke. How does Weber get nothing on a dangerous play and Bitz get the book thrown at him? Is it me or does The league want certain teams through?

DutchieBang
I know Im not the only one but how does dumcan keith get a 2 minute minor but Bitz gets 5 and a game..? AND... He has been allowed to play the last 5 games but our star is still unhealthy... If anything causes me to discontinue paying attention to NHL hockey, it will be the god awful officiating.
