Sure we didn't know him personally, but in sports it's totally different. In sports, a guy like Luc gets drafted to your favourite teams you live, and breathe for, you almost feel like family with the players and what they go through etc. Sure it's just some hockey player, but I felt connected enough to Luc to shed a tear for his passing because he was a part of the Canucks family.
